Hi all! I survived a super food challenging day without too much deviation and I am feeling proud about that.
My day started with a breakfast scramble – eggs, pico de gallo, 2 Jennie-O Lean breakfast sausages (2 sp), cantaloupe.Mid morning snack to keep myself in check at lunch – Jarlsberg Mini Swiss cheese and a plum (2 sp).At Rio City Cafe, I picked the BBQ chicken salad for the mostly zero point fixin’s using the BBQ sauce for my dressing.
Romaine, red pepper, corn, black beans, green onions, smoked Gouda, chicken breast, avocado and tortilla strips.
I had about 2/3’s of this with BBQ sauce dressing. (5 sp)But….my main reason for the salad – cheesy garlic bread! Oh, how I could’ve just eaten a plate of this all by myself. But, I kept myself in check with a couple squares and small bites (8 sp).My friend made this super cute basket for me just because. She is so thoughtful and I cannot wait to dive into everything.I “almost” missed the build your own sundae’s at work on purpose until they took their show on the road wheeling up to our offices.I had a mini ice cream scoop about 1/3 cup with just a few toppers that I am counting as 5 sp.Then, I balanced out my day with this tasty 5 SmartPoints Turkey BLTA dinner.
1 slice butter bread topped with a little avocado, 2 oz turkey breast, lettuce, tomato and 2 pieces Trader Joe’s 1 point bacon.
