Happy Friday Eve all! This week I feel like I’ve made good food choices and feel proud about that. I have struggled a bit with not sleeping as well as usual (it might be the extra coffee but I’ll never admit that) which means missing my AM workouts. The ironic part is I know I have so much more energy when I get in my AM workouts and I am more tired throughout the day if I skip it.
I’ve actually been beating myself up a bit this week for missing my workouts even though I’ve made an effort to get more activity in other ways like today’s lunchtime walk.
By the end of my walk I realized one very important thing. Sometimes working out may not be in the shape or form you “think” it should be….but what matters most is actually fitting it in any way you can. It may not seem like much to park in the furthest parking spot, take every stair you can find or just head out for a quick walk. However, all those little things are conscience decisions to move more when you could’ve easily avoided it all together.
And to me, that really is success even if it doesn’t look the way I think it should in my head or my journal.
