Hi all! Thank you all for all your comments and notes on yesterday’s post and for not judging me. You really helped make today a better day and it’s good to know I’m not alone when cookies win the day! Most days I’m pretty good at keeping myself in check but every now and then I think cookies have nothing on me. On that note, I started today with a clean slate and this view from the winery upstairs patio.
I also had the chance to see the new concrete platform poured today. The gazebo goes up next and this becomes the stage for the summer bands to play.
Since I knew my day was going to be filled with long meetings, I fueled up with a delicious high protein breakfast. I brought a nectarine and bag of Trader Joe’s cashews with me as a quick back up plan. This turned out to be a great decision because I had this for lunch instead of the massively high point (translation not special or worth the points) sandwiches brought in. I did miss my walk today but picked up my favorite Flying Goat short latte for an afternoon snack for my last meeting.
I ended the day with quite possibly the best fish tacos I’ve ever had in my life. The Husband was my carpool buddy today (it saves me so much time in traffic) so I bought him dinner at Kinsmoke as a thank you.
The best part – today the cookie monster didn’t find me 🙂

Night all!
Hey, it’s ok to let the cookie monster find you once in a while 🙂 I have already decided how to make some “fish tacos” at home; your photo’s made me hungry!
Cookie monster got me yesterday too, but I fought back and WON! It was a tough fight. (@grad night) but managed to make it home for a nice salad with walnuts and cranberries. Had to guzzle some water till I could make it home. I don’t think we should beat ourselves up too badly when faced with the occasional slip, the good thing is you realized that and got right back on track! ~Jr.
