Hi everyone! How was your weekend? My weekend was awesome. It started off with my Weight Watchers meeting. This past week was pretty rough on me and for the first time in a long time, I thought of not going to my meeting. In my head, I didn’t think the scale would be nice and I didn’t want to see it. But, I also knew, if I didn’t go that was like giving myself free reign to eat whatever I wanted this next week.
You know what? I’m so glad I sucked it up and went. Not only did I lose .4 lbs when I thought I’d gain, I got a much needed renewed sense of motivation. My day got even better when we saw some friends we had not seen in over 6 months and they said….you’ve lost weight. It really reminded me how far I’ve come and how one emotional eating week doesn’t define me.
Today we headed out of town for The Husband to play poker with his friends. I met my Mom for lunch at Thai Basil before I went to Asante Spa for a massage and facial. I spent a bit of time shopping this afternoon with dinner at Jack’s before heading to this huge new Barnes & Nobles. It’s like the size of a gym complete with a restaurant, coffee and computer bar plus these comfy chairs where I’m now camped out with a big Americano to blog and read. Today was just what I needed to head into next week and make it a success!
