FAST!

March 2, 2010 by DanicasDaily 5 Comments

Happy Biggest Loser Day all!  I am SO SO GLAD it is back on!!! Now I can finally have closure since they left it as to be continued….I NEED closure.  My post has to be FAST since I wanna enjoy the show 😀

Since I was starving ALL day yesterday, I figured I better start some day off with protein.  I don’t know why but my body is more satisfied with protein than it is with just a carb breakfast.  If I pair the two, then, it’s the perfect satisfying combo that last for hours.

I learned something new when I whipped up my egg scramble this morning ~ Did you know that it’s only ONE point for a 1/2 cup of Egg Beaters ( I am so not capping it at 1/4 or 1/3 when I can get more for the same!

1 zucchini, quartered

1/2 c sliced mushrooms

1/2 c egg beaters

Handful of cherry tomatoes halved

Sprinkle of green onions

Sea Salt, Pepper, Hot sauce

Nonstick spray

I added a pair on the side for some healthy carbs and a TWO POINT BREAKFAST!

Mid morning I snacked on 4 Kashi Bruschetta crackers with a Low Fat Sargento Colby Cheese for 3 points.

I was STILL hungry *sigh*, maybe I should’ve brought some veggies to go with my cheese & crackers next time.  Since I didn’t have any veggies, I had some Pop Chips for 2 pts.

I was STUCK in the office ALL day since it was pouring out…just when I gave up hope, the rain stopped, but, I had already had lunch ~ bummer.

Lunch was a repeat of yesterday ~ spiced up.  I started off with some Low-Fat Peanut Broccoli Slaw (TJ’s Organic Broccoli Slaw plus TJ’s LF Spicy Peanut Dressing), topped wtih Sriracha for extra kick (1 pt).

Plus a 7 point serving of Spicy Chicken Fried Rice with Peanuts.  I think this is even better the next day.

My FAVORITE 0 point Sobe Life Water ~ Acai Tropical Fruit ~ it’s just like the blue box Hawaiian Tropical Punch.

I may or may not have caved this afternoon to a little chocolate and a few mini cookies that somehow went unpictured.  (3 pts)

I was antsy all day long to get out and run so when I got home I hopped on the Treadmill for a quick 30 minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) run.  I did level 5 of the weight loss program which has you run/sprint up hills ~ every 30 seconds the grade and speed increase as you run through rolling hills.  It was intense and I totally felt FAST!

With my run, I added 25 push ups and 2 minutes of crunches before stretching.

Dinner was LEFTOVER SLOW COOKER TURKEY & BEAN BURRITO BAKE!

It totally is even better the next day as all the flavors blend together and it turns into a dense enchilada casserole….8 points!

I feel better with protein in the morning too. That scramble looks so good. Actually everything you ate looks good. Love broccoli slaw and agreed, casseroles are better the next day.
