Happy Saturday all! Today was on FANTASTIC day that all started at 5 AM this morning. I was up before the sun to pick up Tracey to head to the Fit Bloggin’ Breakfast Summit in San Francisco.
Side note ~ I LOVE their coasters “Breakfast is my happy hour”!
I was actually a little “geeked” out to take BART since I never had….for the record, it’s fun, but, confusing and Amtrak is so much easier to follow LOL.
We attended our first Fit Bloggin’ Local meet up in the summer and Annelies offered to host our 2nd meetup at the Attune Foods Head quarters.
They have a pretty awesome view from their conference room of the TransAmerica Building….
And downtown.
She put together fun swag bags for us to use at the Farmer’s Market with treats from all the sponsors
I think this could be a BAD thing if I had cereal, grahams and chocolate stocked on the shelves for snacking all day long
The breakfast summit started off with self serve breakfast bars ~ Gluten Free Bar and a regular bar both with fresh fruit and yogurt.
I had about a 1/2 cup of Wallaby Organic Vanilla Yogurt (2 points+)
Plus fresh fruit…..
Then, I decided to grab a delicious Cinnamon Graham over cereal….
REAL ingredients I can pronounce!
2 points+ for 1 or 3 points+ for 2 ~ go for TWO!
Like flakey and you get hints of cinnamon toast and shortbread cookies.
Our guest speaker was RD Jae Berman. I really LOVED hearing all of her tips for eating healthy, maximizing satisfaction at your meals, but, more importantly how to help your body fuel/burn calories more efficiently.
I LOVE too that she is a BIG advocate for Weight Watchers too (she got points+ on my list for that )
Group shot of all the fantastic people who showed up today.
This is not only a group of fun people, but, these girls run some pretty fantastic blogs ~ check out links to all their sites….several of them are weight loss bloggers as well that are truly inspiring!

I couldn’t wait for part 2 of our day, The San Francisco Farmer’s Market! I could probably buy just about everything at the market, luckily, I knew that I’d have to lug it back with me on part so I resisted!
These tomatoes really were this red…
English Peas! I never knew you didn’t eat the pod, you just open it and eat the peas inside….way too much work for me but Tracey bought a bunch
Some of the sections in the market totally made me think of FALL!
After strolling around the market, we headed over to the Ferry Building to see what was on the inside.
We debated having lunch in the city, but, decided that we would head back to LaFayette to go to one of Tracey’s FAVORITE Chinese Food places.
I was STARVING by this point so I decided to bust into my Attune Chocolate Crisp Bar.
3 points+ for the entire bar, 1 points+ for half. I LOVE the big crispies inside.
I couldn’t resist saying Yan Can Cook and You Can Too when I saw the name of where we were heading. Yan’s China Bistro & Bar.
We decided to pick two items on the lunch special and share.
Chinese Peanut Chicken Salad (1 points+) ~ the peanuts & sweet sesame dressing totally make this salad deliciously refreshing.
Hot & Sour Soup (2 points+) ~ perfectly spicy and mushroomy!
Chicken & Mixed Vegetables with Garlic Sauce
~ I LOVE more than I could ever say the fact that they use white chicken meat that is tender and the garlic sauce is so creamy.
Eggplant in Garlic Sauce
~ By far my ABSOLUTE favorite dish of the day. The eggplant was so sweet it almost tasted like they roasted it first. The garlic sauce is sweet, spicy & garlicky similar to that on orange chicken when it meats kung pao
They scored major points for the fact that you can order brown rice too! My plate x’s TWO!
Chicken & Mixed Vegetables 8 points+ for 1 cup
Eggplant in Garlic Sauce 4 points+ for 1 cup
1 cup brown rice ~ 5 points+
BEST CHINESE FOOD I’ve ever had in my life ~ really and it was only $7.50 each ~ DEAL!
FUNNY FACT ~ We totally went to a Chinese Food store after lunch to pick up spicy dried mustard powder. I was dipping everything in it
Tonight we are barbecuing with the nephews ~ I am off to Trader Joe’s for Burgers & Chicken. If I get a chance to come back, I will update for dinner but I have a feeling it’s going to be bbq chicken, grilled corn and salad for me.
Night all!

Oh your meet up looks like so much fun! It’s great that you don’t have to wait a year until the next fit bloggin’ to see everyone again!! I am very jealous that you can get figs at the farmer’s market. I can’t find them anywhere in the city here…at least no fresh ones 🙁 CONGRATS on the new job btw. I am a little late, but I bet you are super excited!!

I am so jealous of that market!!! I just heard today that our farmers market here now has a guy with a table that sells a few veg. Sighhhh not quite what I saw there!
Touching beans? Man I’d have been in those…I just know I would have!
I copied your recipe for taco seasoning mix…yes I know that wasn’t this blog, I’m just too lazy to click comment twice!

As an Aussie, I’m really curious about exactly what “Australian style” yoghurt is!Vegemite and BBQ prawns: yes; but yoghurt?? It’s not exactly what come to mind when one thinks of this country…hehehe!
