Hi all! I am back today with my final France Recap for this trip. The Husband had alot of fun being a tourist while I was in meetings during the week. Below are some snaps of his walk around Valence. His pictures are awesome.Every where we went in France, they have bike rental stations like this. Just rent and go.There are pastry shops on just about every corner that offer up freshly baked bread, pastries, breakfast, samdwiches and homemade candy. We bought pistachio almond nougats and chocolates to bring back.On the last morning, I grabbed a ham and cheese quiche. This was my favorite breakfast of the trip.Mostly I struggled with the hotel breakfast as I do not really eat pastries and sweets in the AM.I did order scrambled eggs occasionally but they did not always come out as cooked as these. Our lunch was delivered in the fanciest lunch boxes I’ve ever seen.Every box included a champagne glasses, bamboo cutlery, bread, cheese, salad, dessert and chocolate.
I loved this apple slaw.Caprese pasta salad with chicken.I traded my eclair for this chocolate caramel mousse as each box had different desserts. We had dinner every night on the square which has so many cool restaurants and buildings like this.Dinners usually started with drinks and snacks. Then, I picked the fish or chicken with mini ravioli, salad and bread. We finished with dessert then coffee. This dessert was The Husband’s called profiteroles. Think eclair puff pastry stuffed with homemade ice cream then drizzled with caramel, chocolate, nuts and whipped cream. I totally stole a few bites. It was such a fun trip and we both cannot wait to go back. Thank you all for taking the journey with me.
I’ll resume my usual posting with my back on track WW eats and menu tomorrow.
