Happy Hump Day all! I figure it’s about time that I start mixing up all those vacation posts with some food posts 🙂 No worries, I have more vacation posts for you all, but, I wanted to tell you all about a cool 1 week challenge I am doing with my awesome Weight Watcher Friends. Some of you who are Weight Watchers may remember the old KickStart book they handed out, some may not.
Basically it makes your life EASY ~ they give you a grocery list, plus a mix and match meal plan that you follow for a week. It’s perfect to cleanse my system of our vacation eats and make my life easy the next week since all the work has been done for me. I will be blogging about my one week journey – so feel free to join in for a week of clean, healthy eats 🙂
I started my day off with a 4 Weight Watcher Point (WWP) breakfast.
1 c Nature’s Path Multi-Grain Flakes
1/2 large banana
1/2 c fat free milk
Hot Lemon Water on the side ~ MMMM! No the book doesn’t have you drink hot lemon water, I just learned to LOVE it from the Bikini Bootcamp Challenge. It makes you feel so healthy when you drink it.
Snack time ~ 4 WWP
1 c carrots
15 Kashi Asiago Crackers
1 Sargento Light Colby Cheese
Lunch was AMAZING!!! I have been slightly addicted to mixing soups whenever I go to the Whole Foods Soup Bar. People look at me like I am strange, but, whatever 😀 It rocks – if they tried it, they would LOVE it too!
Today’s mix was Chicken Noodle & Minestrone with a splash of Roasted Garlic Navy Bean Soup. 1 c = 3 WWP
Caprese Salad on the side using 1 oz low-fat mozzarella (1 WWP), tomato slices, sea salt, pepper and Bennisimo Blueberry Balsamic Vinegar
I had a 1 WWP orange for dessert.
I learned today that I have a serious addiction to Christmas music and better yet – it makes me soooo productive! I slammed out a ton of work and had a little brain storm session for the holiday party we are hosting on Friday too. I LOVE doing it but wow, there is so much that goes into planning a party for your ENTIRE company 🙂
As I left the office, I had to stop and take a picture of this AMAZING sunset ~ so BEAUTIFUL! Maybe I am still stuck in vacation mode, but, watching the sun go down on my drive home made all my stress go away.
I headed to my Weight Watcher meeting after work. I LOST 2 lbs at my Weight Watcher meeting ~ woohoo – who says cruises have anything on me :D I was STARVING by the time I got home so dinner was ~ fast, simple, delicious and nothing fancy.
Salad with 2 tsp EVOO and Balsamic Vinegar
The BEST tacos ever!!! I spiced up the meat using:
* Dashes of Mrs. Dash Fiesta Lime Seasoning
* Dashes of chili powder, paprika, cumin
* 1/4 jar Big S Farms HOT Habenero Salsa (I LOVE this stuff!)
Served on 2 chili lime corn tortillas with lowfat cheddar, tomato and AVOCADO!
I added extra salsa on top after the pictures. Salsa is seriously the BEST addition ~ LOVE the clean ingredients on the Big S Farms brand.
All together, dinner was 9 WWP.
I received a package from the AMAZING Dottie of FoodCents in the mail today! Awhile back we decided to do a goodie swap of Trader Joe’s Goodies for Colorado Goodies. She did an INCREDIBLE job finding stuff made in Colorado! I am soooo impressed that she even found Sriracha Sauce made in Colorado…..Check it out!
* 3 types of Tea ~ Blueberry, Pomegranate, Ginger Bread
*3 Stretch Fruit!
* 2 Justin’s Organic Peanut Butter
* 2 Justin’s Organic Almond Butter (including a maple flavor!)
* Sriracha Sauce
* Granola Nuggets
* 3 AMAZING sounding chocolate bars that you can feel the HUGE almonds in (they are made in Colorado)
Thanks Dottie ~ You ROCK!! I LOVED my package and cannot wait to dig in even if I have to wait a week :D Reviews coming soon for sure!
I am off to take care of my sickie pooh! He is currently trying to stay up while I blog but his head is bobbing around and he is snoring with his stuffy nose 🙁
P.S. Giveaway post coming in the AM! Nite all!

Sounds like you have a great handle on your mindset for healthy eating this time of year. I think the hardest thing is not necessarily all of the RIch and Indulgent foods that pop up, it’s all of the little BLT’s that often go unnoticed. Just because you don’t sit down with a huge plate of cookies for dinner, every little nibble, taste and bite do add up, and I think we are so quick to forget that. But on the other hand, it’s only once a year that I have the chance to sample all of these wonderful little treats, so I wouldn’t want to waste the opportunity to try them all! 🙂
Hope you enjoy the rest of your week hun!
