Happy Sunday all! You all had us both cracking up with your Magic Mike comments on yesterday’s post. I am pretty sure I will not “torture” him into going with me, but, it is fun to tease him and see his response to what you all said about the men who did go to see it.
This morning I couldn’t wait to go weigh in. I can honestly say it’s been a pretty long time since I felt like I earned it and knew that the scale was going to show my efforts.
It definitely did ~ I was down 4 lbs today!!!! Thanks to all of you for the congrats you sent me all day long ~ you all should know you inspire me with all your successes each and every day too!
I have a confession to make ~ I totally LOVE Grits, but, I rarely get them since they are not really a big thing in California (not sure why?! lol).
I actually never knew they were made from hominy but now I think that makes grits even cooler.
100% Simply Filling
Drizzled with 1 tsp Pure Maple Syrup (0 WPA for 1 tsp ~ I totally looked up the stats before adding it). I actually can eat my grits plain any day.
I ended up trading in my nectarine for this plate of fruit at my Weight Watchers meeting.
Before heading out to spend the afternoon walking around the Sacramento Antique Fair, The Husband bribed me with a Starbuck’s.
Grande Nonfat Decaf Latte with caramel drizzled on top (0 WPA for the drizzle) and Simply Filling.
He also let me pick lunch, but, highly recommended I pick sushi at my favorite place ~ Mikuni’s! I had zero complaints about his choice
We started with Edamame which is a fantastic high protein, Simply Filling snack that only takes about 5 minutes to make if you need snack ideas.
For some reason, even when it’s 100+ degrees outside, I still have to have HOT green tea and Miso Soup with my sushi.
Simple Side Salad with a sesame ginger dressing (2 WPA)
I knew exactly what roll I wanted ~ The INCREDIBLE ROLL! I LOVE any place that will put 2 lines of Sriracha down for dipping!
I count this roll just like a Tempura Shrimp Roll at 10 points+ towards my WPA.
Spicy tuna, panko shrimp, tuna, white tuna, avocado, sauce, torched, masago and onion
We both were feeling pretty lazy so I am glad we still had leftover pasta we just reheated for dinner.
I am pretty content now so I do not anticipate eating anything else as much as the watermelon and bananas for Banana Ice Cream are calling my name.
12 WPA used, 37 WPA Remaining (29 daily points+)
HERE IS WHAT IS ON THE MENU THIS WEEK:
It’s kind of a short week since we will be eating dinner out on Thursday & head out of town Friday night. Can you all tell The Husband picked this week’s menu?
- Bacon Cheeseburgers, Kale Chips
- BBQ Pork Ribs, grilled corn, parmesan zucchini
- Carne Asada Tacos or Salads
- Breakfasts may include some Homemade Simply Filling Sausage ~ I’ve made two types.
- Lunches: Creamy Chicken, Carrot, Raisin Salad over mixed greens (it’s good, I promise!) I may also make this Weight Watchers Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala over brown rice.
What’s on your menu this week? I have so many ideas, so little time lol….
