My Weigh In, goals and this week’s Menu

May 6, 2012 by DanicasDaily 8 Comments

Happy Sunday all!  You know I have to admit it has been awhile since I was really excited to get on the scale.  Not because I peeked at it during the week or I suddenly knew I was going got have a loss, but, because I knew I EARNED the results.  I worked hard at working the plan this week really focusing on Power Foods and getting my bootie moving in every way I could.  As tough as it was to get up at 5 AM, I thanked myself for it every day after….It set the course for my day off on the right foot (literally!) and it made it easier to say no to the candy, the cake and the Nacho Day at work!

The results ~ I was DOWN 1.6 LBS this week ~ I am back to half way to my Memorial Day goal and so excited about that!  I am so glad the scale showed my effort and it honestly has fueled my desire to do it all over again this next week.

This week’s goals include:

  • Couch to 5K ~ get in 3 workouts and check them off my calendar!
  • 1 day yoga from yogadownload.com or check out the new place that just opened by us
  • Attempt this 100 workout!
  • Foodwise ~ stick to the menu, focusing on power foods and getting in my water!

I whipped up a batch of these delicious Taco Egg Muffins for breakfasts this week, but, I know they will not last long since I have to share with The Husband who eats like 4 at a time LOL.

You can find the printable version here.

HERE IS WHAT IS ON THE MENU THIS WEEK:

  • BBQ “ribs”, Sweet Potato Fries, Grilled Asparagus
  • I want to make a big batch of these Spicy Shrimp with Lime and Cilantro & Salads
  • BTLA’s and Grilled Lemon Artichokes
  • Carne Asada Taco Salad
  • Spaghetti & Meatball Casserole, Salad

Q’s

What is on your menu this week?

Off to the House of Prime Rib!!!!

Night all!

Great job on your weight loss! I know you’ve been eating almonds for a snack & I know you like spicy foods. Have you tried the Blue Diamond Lime and Chili flavor – YUM.

      Hi Jani,

I have tried the Blue Diamond Chili Lime and LOVE them. The Husband isn’t a fan so I haven’t bought them much…but should! 🙂

      Thanks,

      Danica

I made your taco egg muffins yesterday too 🙂 I used the Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Crumbles instead of sausage links – so easy!

Back when I actually worked out, I LOVED the 100 workout!! It feels so good at the end knowing you did all those reps of each of those exercises. The way we did it we called it a “ladder”. We started at the top and did 10 reps of the first exercise for round one. Then round 2 was 10 reps of exercise one and two. And so forth. By the end you’ve done 100 reps of the first exercise on the list. Very effective.
Great job on the weight loss! I always know that when it really comes down to it, if I follow The Plan, the rest will fall into place.

Ohhhh, I like that idea and am totally going to try it. Some exercises do not seem intimidating doing 100 while others made me think man…..are there breaks built in there LOL.

      Thanks for sharing Stephanie!

Congrats on your weight loss. It’s so excited when we work the plan and the rewards show up immediately. Your taco egg muffins look delicious. I’m planning to make the individual ham, cheese and veggie frittatas that were in last week’s WW Weekly for dinner tonight. Then I can enjoy the rest for breakfast the rest of the week.
