Happy Monday everyone!! This week’s giveaway is just awesome ~ If you are a fan of cookbooks with tons of pictures, menu plans and shopping lists, then, you are going to LOVE Rocco DiSpirito’s new cookbook. I actually met him at the very first BlogHERFood and tasted his cooking first hand ~ I can tell you his cooking is awesome!
Award-winning celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito changed his life and his health-without giving up the foods he loves or the flavor. He has lost more than 20 pounds, participated in dozens of triathlons, and-after an inspirational role as a guest chef on The Biggest Loser-changed his own diet and the caloric content of classic dishes on a larger scale. In NOW EAT THIS! DIET, complete with a foreword by Dr. Mehmet Oz.
HIs menu plans and recipes require little effort and he shares ideas on how to incorporate 6 meals a day and with the dishes you crave, like mac & cheese, meatloaf, BBQ pork chops, and chocolate malted milk shakes.
There are 75 recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and snack time, all with zero bad carbs, zero bad fats, zero sugar, and maximum flavor
Head to Amazon.com to get your copy and don’t worry about getting it messy in the kitchen cooking 6 meals a day because you can win a pristine hand signed copy direct from Rocco himself! Rocco has hooked me up with 4 signed copies of Now Eat This! Diet to give away to my readers!!
I LOVE how each recipe lists the calories next to it in the HUGE index in the front. I am all over that Pho and Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato Roll!
The book includes techniques to help you learn how to cook like a pro
Did I mention the pictures? The photography in this cookbook is AMAZING….I found myself drooling over each page saying I NEED to make this, and this, and this…..just based on the pictures alone!
Rocky Road Oatmeal!
Red Beet, Goat Cheese & Walnut Salad!
I really like how he shows the way he “healthified” each recipe with before/after fat and calorie counts.
Plus tips on how to save even more on the calories in each recipe.
Now, here is the part I think I FLIPPED OUT OVER THE MOST! If you are counting points, as in WEIGHT WATCHERS POINTS+, he has included the Food Value Points (translation ~ points+).
I calculated practically EVERY recipe in the book and it was spot on EXACT with the points+ values
I LOVE it when the points+ values happen in cookbooks I LOVE
Ok, I will stop ~ All I can say is that you will LOVE this book! It is loaded with recipes, tips, menu plans, shopping lists and a ton of great ideas if you need a boost in your healthy living lifestyle.

In general though, my daughter is my inspiration for losing weight. Shes’s only two but catches on quick to bad habits. I need to be a better role model for her. I really just want to lose weight by eating healthier and being more active, and hope I can pass those behaviors down to my daughter.

My motivation for losing weight is to become strong and fit to take care of my two young boys. I became a single mom in 2009, and then in 2010 was diagnosed with cancer. I have a LOT of living to do, and getting in the best possible shape I can as a 33 year old is high up on the to-do list!!

I’ve been overweight pretty much all my life, from being a “chubby” kid to an overweight adult, losing weight and then gaining it back numerous times. I need to get off the roller coaster and finally get my health back in order to enjoy life and avoid obesity-related conditions and diseases.
My motivation is my new-found focus on myself for 2011 — my health, my relationships with others, my dreams, my happiness…losing weight is just a small part of my goals for this year 😉

I’m losing weight to look and feel better.
I just wanted to be healthy! And now I want to be an inspiration for other people 🙂
I have lost over 30 lbs since college with Weight Watchers, and feel the best I have in my entire life. I am motivated to lead a healthy, active, and positive life in order to continue the awareness of the importance and benefits of a healthy lifestyle. In a fast-paced world of fast, junk, and processed foods, it is too easy to fall into the trap of drive thrus, vending machines, and the like. With simple modifications and a few extra minutes of planning and prep a day, the benefits of my weight loss path are off the charts – not to mention my energy levels!

The reason(s) I wanted to lose weight initially started with me wanting to look better (at 255lbs) and then as I began losing weight I realized that I NEEDED to lose weight for my health. When I was heavier, my knees & ankles always hurt – even though I was in my early twenties. I had no other problems, but realized that I would if I didn’t act fast. Now I am still working on my happy weight and am pretty darn close and still do it for health reasons… and my butt looking better isn’t so horrible either 😉
I have told my daughter about this amazing giveaway!
I finally came out of several years of severe depression and after getting my mind healthy again was ready to get the rest of me healthy.

But when I realized that eating well and being healthy meant fewer headaches, less moodiness, less tiredness and tons more energy and self-confidence, my motivation changed. Thanks for the giveaway!!
My main reason for losing is so we can finally have children. My motivation for losing weight was to try to better my health. I had been battling with Hypothryoidism which is what contributed to some of the weight gain and then I have a hiatal hernia with acid reflux. Having extra weight around the middle only adds to this issue. So I made the lifestyle choice to loose the weight!

Has definitely slowed down and if I don’t make a lifestyle change it is only going to get worse. Living and eating this way is what I need to do and it is not hard and I am not feeling deprived of foods or cravings.
I lost 30 pounds back in 2007 because I was just tired of feeling crappy about myself. I only gained while pregnant, and quickly lost all of the baby weight by following all of the healthy habits I learned from WW. I still have bad days, but I have embraced my new lifestyle and try to make the healthiest choices for myself and my family everyday.

To be healthy and alive. I became diabetic as a child, and started struggling with wt in college. I love to run marathons, and eating healthy go hand in hand.
Hi, just posted on facebook about this.
I am a mother of three that had gestational diabetes with every pregnancy. I also gained a ton of weight with my last two children. After having my third child my diabetes did not go away. I am under 30, I am very overweight, I have diabetes, and have 3 beautiful children that I need to be healthy for. They are my inspiration to lose weight. I have never had a better reason to lose weight!!!
My motivations is I have 10 more pounds to go and I will be at my goal!
I told my coworkers about this giveaway.
I’m motivated to lose weight to be more healthy and have more energy. I actually just joined WW a few weeks ago! 9 lbs down and counting. 🙂
My motivation is my family. I have an amazing and supportive husband and two children I hope to be a healthy role model for… also blogs like yours help me stay positive and accountable.
I’m losing weight for me this time, I want to feel good in my own skin. Will this spread to other areas of my life…of course. I want to be able to take my 4 year old son on rides at the amusement park without worrying if I’ll fit, to go on bike rides, or just hiking through the woods.
I told my co workers.
I am losing weight for me first (I want to feel better and look better) and for my family second. My husband has a brain tumor, I am the caregiver, and my health and weight was making it hard to do everything….from caregiver, mom, and young grandma. I have lost over 20 lbs so far and feel so much better.
I started my weight loss journey when I began to realize I was ashamed to look in the mirror. I didn’t want to be in pictures because I didn’t like how I looked. I hated going through life like that.
I want to lose weight to learn healthy eating habits to pass on to my future children. I don’t want them struggling with eating like I have!
I told my BFF Adara about this giveaway!
I want to be healthy and try to lower my high cholesterol!
To show my kids an example and be a hot mama for my hubby!!
I told the girls in my office about the book!!
I want to lose weight for a number of reasons that, although important, are not particularly unique. I want to be healthy and active and able to keep up with my two little boys. I want to wear the clothes I wore before I had children, and feel attractive. I want my asthma to be under control again. I don’t want to be embarrassed about how I look.

I want to lose weight so that I can be healthy and be around a long time to enjoy my 3 year old son. I also want to teach him healthier eating habits.
I would love to win this cookbook because first of all I don’t have any healthy cookbooks. Secondly it would just be awesome to have – all the great information in it.
Your burger looks super good. I just might have to make it. It would be a nice change from salmon patty’s.
Thanks for your great blog.

I lost my weight and keep it off because I want my kids to see what a healthy lifestyle is and know that it is fun doing it!
What a wonderful giveaway! My husband and I are looking to have children soon. I know that being overweight makes pregnancy complications more likely. I also want to be able to lead a healthy example for my future children.
My motivation to lose this weight is that I do not want to be a feeble old lady, and so it is time to get this weight off once and for all.
I now follow Rocco.
Just tweeted about the giveaway.
I want to live a long time and feel good!
I’m working together with my husband (married 35 years) to help us both lose the pounds because I want us to be able to enjoy being healthy and together for another 35 years or more!
My family is my motivation — plus turning 45! I quit smoking (3 months now!!) and started back to WW at the same time, to keep me from gaining weight. Have lost 13 pounds so far, with just 7 more to go. Also, started the C25K last week! It’s amazing how good you feel with the right foods and without the nasty cigarettes! 45 feels better than ever!
Thanks for providing this give-a-way! I’ve been off Rocco ever since his less than flattering reality show some years ago. I’m thrilled to see that he’s back and stronger than ever!
My motivation to lose weight is to make my pants fit a little better. 🙂
I’m now following Rocco on Twitter.

My motivation is simple..to be the best I can be with my health and weight for myself, and my wonderful family!!
My motivation is to remain healthy and be here for my family for as long as possible!
I just emailed me mom and bff about this as they both love healthy recipes!
Long term – to be fit and healthy for life to be in inspiration for my family.
Short term – to fit back into “those” jeans in my closet!
My motivation is my health and my family. But in addition, I’m moving to the next decade age-wise next year and would like to enter into that new decade on a much healthier note.
Blogging about it now…just love that he has the points+ values for each recipe! That is amazing, wonderful, and very considerate of all of us WW people ;0)
Tweeting – and just can’t wait to make the Rocky Road Oatmeal – what a mouth watering photo, right?
This book sounds awesome. I love cookbooks with picturs–makes the recipe so much more appetizing!!!
My children and my husband are my driving reason for wanting to lose weight. Although my kids are 18 and 16 I want to live to see my grandchildren, to see them both married and to enjoy my “empty-nest” years with my husband.

My motivation for losing weight, is my health. Which is the most important thing I can do for myself.
I would love to have a copy of this cookbook!
I told Ms.Susie about this giveaway
My motivation to lose weight is to get in shape for the summer and to finally feel in control of my eating habits.
Just a desire to have more energy and have a body that can keep up with my brain. I’m too young to be dragging around 100+ extra pounds, and have just begun ww points plus. Lots to learn, and this cookbook looks inspiring!
My motivation for healthy eating is keeping healthy and the fact that swimsuit season is right around the corner too 🙂
I have such a great motivation to eat healthy … I have 3 beautiful daughters ( ages 17, 13 and 5!), plus a great husband and a furry dog … BUT, my biggest motivator to eat healthy and exercise is to maintain my 140 lb weight loss … Weight Watchers rocks! I hope I win; we just love Rocco – my daughter always forgets his name and calls him Rocco Mediterranean!! LOL
I have just celebrated my 72nd birthday and want to live long enough to enjoy my grandchildren. I have always been overweight and the doc says if I want to see 75 I have to loose some. I just saw him on Rachel’s show and think his cookbooks are awesome.
I really need to lose this weight to get healthy plus be an example for my 14 year old daughter who is 6 inches taller than me but weighs what I weigh which is not good. I want her to be healthy, and happy in her high school years. But is she does not see her mom making better choices why should she.
I also told the 3 ladies I work with about this. Thanks.
My motivation is to get myself healthier by this summer. I have lymph edema and due to my weight gain my leg blows up pretty bad. It wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for my 4 yr-old who says I can’t play with him the way daddy does. This year mommy is gonna keep up!
There are so many reasons I have decided to lose weight and keep it off…the desire to be healthy and act as a good role model for my kids stop taking my blood pressure and acid reduction medications, buy clothes in any store, have tons of energy and be able to sleep well and wake up refreshed, and the list goes on! I have lost 17 since I joined WW 4 weeks ago, and I hope to get to 20 this week. Your blog actually inspired me to join WW. I spent about 3 weeks searching the web for info on WW as I went there before and lost very little. I found the old program to be much more difficult than this new program, and I am positive I will be able to keep going in the right direction. I am using WW as a tool to learn how to change my habits and still be able to enjoy food. So far, so good! Thanks for your bloggin’…I look forward to seeing it in my e-mail each morning!
to be healthier for a long life
I watched my mom struggle with her weight all her life and have struggled with my own as well. I don’t want it to effect my ability to get around as I get older like it did my her.
My motivating factor to lose weight was that I finally knew I had to do something and quick. I was feeling lousy and had a hard time getting anything done. I needed a wake up call and I felt I gave myself one. So happy I made the decision to join WW. I would just love this cookbook!! Love you Danica!!
My motivation for losing weight is that I am now having problems when I go for a walk. I have never had problems with walking, but now it tires me out a lot faster than before. With the summer coming up and the fact that I now live in a state with beautiful state parks near by, I want to walk more. I need to start losing weight so that I can do that.
I told my best friend to check out this giveaway too!
My motivation for losing weight was that I wanted to be happier in general. Better self esteem, self love, etc. I
My motivation for losing weight is that I want to be healthy and be able to play with my kids. I also want to set good eating examples for my two, young girls. It’s hard enough being a kid these days, but I don’t want them to deal with being an overweight kid or fighting the weight loss battle for the rest of their lives.
My motivation for losing weight is getting into my favorite pair of jeans again!
I shared on my blog http://mamaneedsanewpairofpants.blogspot.com/
Wow those meals look delicious! Hard to believe they are so low fat. I am following WW so it’s soooo great that the points values are included.
Basically, motivation to lose weight is to feel good about how my body looks and feels again – it’s been a few years since I’ve been in that place and I got to the point where I was fed up with feeling lethargic, sucking my gut in for photos and buying bigger and bigger clothes. I also started to worry for the future, and I didn’t want chronic health problems or size to affect my future! Simple as that!
To live a long, healthy life full of energy and zest.
My 1 year old son is my inspiration to get healthy. I don’t want him to grow up with my food issues. I want to be a positive role model for him, and I want to be around to watch that amazing little boy grow up.
I tweeted about it! apilgrimsoul

I gained nearly 80 lbs. due to unexplained stomach pain so after numerous tests that gave no explanation I decided to take my health into my own hands. I have lost over 40 lbs now, changed to a clean diet, and gone mostly vegetarian (just can’t give up my sushi). I have 40 more lbs. to go but I know so much more and take much better care of myself now.
I love Rocco! My motivation for losing weight is to get back into shape after gaining 15lbs last year when my husband retired from the Air Force and we spent the entire summer traveling and eating!
I joined weight watchers and lost 42 pounds! Now I watch my points plus values to keep the weight off… I feel great… and this cookbook will be the perfect resource to bust up my boring menus!!

Now following @RoccoDiSpirito on Twitter
I sent an e-mail to two friends letting them know about the contest.
Well my motivation to lose weight use to be to look good, fit in a certain size jean or for an upcoming event.
Something happened when I turned 50. I started to realize that I needed to eat well and treat my body well and do everything I can to stay as healthy as I can.
I can’t control everything about my health but I can control how I eat and how I treat myself. I am choosing to treat myself with the same kindness and respect I give to my family or a friend.
It has taken me all of my adult life to figure this out. Better late than never!
I want to be able to live my life, not have my life run me…into the ground, as it was doing.
I decided to live a healthy life I can sustain! Instead of saying, “I can’t wait until I’m thin so I can eat again” (like I’ve done a hundred times before), I decided to change my eating habits realistically to last a healthy lifetime! Thanks from a Lifetime Weight Watchers member!
This book could help me get motivated.
Danica – My weight gain began with a hysterectomy. No hormones and the bloat hit. Next health issues hit my husband and brother, I don’t want to follow suit. SO I joined Weight Watchers and follow it faithfully. I am working hard to get the weight off but this is a life style change and diet and exercise are my new heros.
I will win this battle and hope to win the book . The Eat this not that web site is amazing and I am sure his book will be as well
Just added danicasdaily.com to my Facebook profile…hope you can handle all the new followers!

I’m trying to lose weight for my upcoming wedding, as well as to be healthier overall. Especially before I have kids!
Let’s see I was always the fat kid growing up, you know the kind oh you have such a beautiful face! Yes, that one! I need change, my family has diabetic history and I don’t want to become one of my family’s statistic. My whole family is of larger size and I am motivating them all and we all joined weight watchers together even though I live in CA and they live in Las Vegas. It makes visits a lot easier since we are all on the same page. I love to cook and love Rocco’s recipes, he’s a genius! That’s my two cents! Fingers crossed!
I will be on the weight loss plan after I deliver a baby in a month of so, but can’t really plan anything right now until we see how the birth and motherhood goes. But I am excited to get back my exercise program in my life.
I follow Rocco already and love his recipes

I’m telling everyone to go to your site!
My motivation is to be healthy and feel good about myself!
After watching my mother go from a stroke to breast cancer to pancreatic cancer I sat on her beside and watched her die April 6, 2010. She said you are so overweight and I know your binge eating and I worry so much about you. I promised her I would get my act together and get a good healthy life plan in place. At that same time I was diagnosed with cancer and battled and won .. so far .. and am finally doing what i promised, dropped 25 pounds in 12 weeks and determined to go on and on and continue for the rest of my life due to my promise to her and a promise to myself for this and to raise my own veggies for an even healthier quality of life!!! Woohoo, I’m finally on the road where I should have been all along.

I’ve spent most of my 40’s in a slump of weight gain brought on with memopause and thyroid issues, with one more year left in my 40’s I’m going to kick @ss with a fit and healthy body as I enter my 50’s. So in short, “it’s all about me”.
Told my weight loss friends.
I just got back from a wonderful vacation. Had an amazing time, but realized that my weight is slowing me down. I couldn’t hike as fast as the others in the group, for example. And people looked at me like I was a crazy fat woman while I was scampering up Mayan pyramids. I was impressed I could do it!
I want to have kids soon and I need to get in shape so I can manage a healthy pregnancy (I’m also a Type 1 diabetic) and then chase after those rascals once they’ve arrived!
I told my friends rachele and melinda about the site and your give away. Rachele lost about 40 pounds on WW, and she’s awesome!

I decided my goal was to have a normal BMI. Every week I had a loss. My mantra; atleast one pound this week. I had lost 17 pounds before someone asked how much I had lost and I looked at the total loss on the weigh in record keeper. I was that focused on the weekly +/-

Hola – this is my third time trying to win this cookbook – third time’s the charm?!? 🙂
Anyway, my motivation for losing weight is mainly my health. I had really high blood pressure from years of secret fast food eating in my car… it’s under control b/c of medication, diet, and exercise, but my goal is to be off of my meds altogether!
Really linked to the health reason is for myself…it’s been a long time since I’ve felt confident about how I look…I haven’t worn shorts in 17 years! I used to be a competitive swimmer, dancer and singer, but now I feel self-conscious on stage (unless I’m costumed – ha!). Anyway, I want to feel good about myself in my own skin… I know it affects my mindset regarding a lot of things in life – how I perceive of my future, of my relationships, and more…
OK, this comment has become an overshare, but these are a couple of motivations for losing weight!

The first time I lost weight (over 110) pounds, I lost weight so I could feel good about myself, walk into a room without feeling ashamed of myself, and so I could buy clothes that I LIKED!!!! When I got pregnant with my son, i gained back 80 lbs. I now have a daughter as well, and I want them to shine. I want them to be healthy and confident, and to do that they need a role model. So, I am losing weight, living actively, eating healthy, and regaining my confidence. I want them to dance like no one is watching, and just as importantly – I want to dance WITH them. =-)
I’m 46 and have been working out and eating right for 20+ years. I want to enjoy another 20+ through education and web sites like yours. As far as Rocco goes, I remember his restaurant show and he was nice to look at then and even better now. 🙂
