Training Day Lessons

March 13, 2018 by DanicasDaily 3 Comments

Hi all! I am sorry for missing you all yesterday. I knew this week would be busy, I just did not know how busy (in a good way!) until now. I am back today recapping my last two days. I’ve had some successes, some things I could’ve done better and a few things I’ve learned about myself….so let’s jump in!

I kicked off “training” week meeting several of our leaders from around the world and was presented with some fun goodies along with my training books. I seriously love gadgets so this made me so happy (it might’ve been all the espresso I’ve been consuming too.)I did manage to get up at 5am to get my C25K 5.1 on. I was tired but knew it would start the day off right.

I had a substantial brrabreak  to resist the one we would have for our training. 2 eggs scrambled with a Trader Joe’s hashbrown patty “fried” in 1 tsp avocado oil (5 sp).I snacked on two cuties and some real deal cheese at break feeling proud I resisted the pound cake. (4 sp). Although I  maybe should’ve eaten my zero point snacks.

We had a taco bar at lunch and I loved the conversation around this from my coworkers.

2 chicken tacos with a few chips salsa, bite of beans & rice with a mini churro. After I built my plate I saw others making taco salad and I thought….why didn’t I think of that?! (15 sp)One thing I am learning about our training is there is so much food offered up…think breakfast, snack, lunch, snack….I left my first day thinking, do not eat it just because it’s there.

Unless it’s special like these French cookies! At least I only ate one lol (4 sp).We had a fun dinner with everyone at Paesanos. Can I just say it was so cool that I spoke to people from France, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala and Mexico in one night? And these were just my coworkers sitting next to me at dinner.  BTW – they think I’m so “American” taking pictures of my food lol. They also made me pick the wine.

I looked up the  menu ahead of time knowing I’d order a big salad with shrimp.

I kinda sorta had will power when the appetizers arrived.

I had a fried spinach & mozzarella ravioli (4 sp) worth it!And a small slice of garlic bread (5 sp). Not worth it but ate it anyway (I hate doing that!)My big shrimp salad with the dressing of the side (3 sp).39 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 12K steps

Could’ve done better, could’ve done worse but I’m proud I stayed aware tracking it all.

This morning I chose sleep as I got home pretty late last night and training started at 8.

Breakfast was fast – Healthy Eggroll and a cutie (3 sp).I skipped the pastries and snacked on the hummus, veggies and grapes 2 sp.Lunch was a little bit of everything – salt & pepper plus Korean BBQ chips (4 sp), pasta salad X’s samples (3 sp) and half a turkey sandwich (4 sp). I think my go forward strategy is to start with the sandwich then go back if I want the other stuff.I skipped the cookies and went straight for the espresso and fruit for our afternoon break. I also walked two laps around the office. The Husband told me he wanted me not to have to cook and to have a Pho & Show date….meaning having delicious food then watching our shows. Honestly, I am so tired I couldn’t resist.

I had 1 1/2 fresh shrimp spring rolls (3 sp).Plus half my medium shrimp & chicken pho (5 sp). Yes, I leave noodles behind which my friend thinks I’m crazy for doing 😉25 Daily WWFreestyle Smartpoints, 5K steps

I want to come work there! I love office supplies and goodies, but I would have a hard time resisting the food! You are doing great and so stressful starting even a wonderful job!
