Happy Saturday all! I just have to start off by saying thanks ~ Thanks for being there still when I took a much needed “mini” break. I honestly do my BEST to give you all a “daily” even if it’s from the archives, but, sometimes, I just have nothing left in me to post.
Thanks for always supporting me, sharing your successes, stories and comments in general. Whether you realize it or not ~ I look forward to hearing what you all share everyday and The Husband does too. He is always asking, who said this or that and he is like, I know her!
I could never express in words how much you all mean to me….just know, every comment, email, Tweet & Facebook message is read and makes my day in one way or another even if I am not able to respond right away.
There has been so much going on and our lives have been pretty crazy. I know I need to show Friends for Weight Loss more love and my Makeover plus Recipe Organizer is almost done! I can really see a light at the end of the tunnel and I will be able to share some of things with you all soon.
For now…..let’s get onto FRIDAY because it was one FANTASTICLY FUN high points+ day that was worth busting into my WPA in day 1.
I was UP .6 LBs this week, but, you know what…I am 110% OK with that considering:
* I had a highly emotional week & missed a few workouts
* I had a day that I was starving & probably would’ve eaten all your food too if you let me!
* On my Weight Graph (yes, I am a dork & graph my journey LOL) ~ it’s the week I usually maintain or gain.
* Sometimes ~ “certain times of the month” the scale should be avoided.
NEXT WEEK I am going to show that scale who is boss and make that .6+ disappear!
After my meeting, I stopped at Starbuck’s for a Venti Iced Nonfat Decaf Latte with caramel drizzle on top & a banana (3 points+).
I honestly couldn’t wait for lunchtime to come around because Tracey & I were meeting up at Hisui Japanese Steakhouse for SUSHI! I have actually only been to Hisui a few times and I have always ordered their Tepan Grill.
We shared some Edamame to start (1/2 cup for 1 points+)
MIso Soup! (2 points+)
The smallest side salad I have probably ever had ~ that would be 4 pieces of lettuce LOL. (2 points+) for the small amount of dressing.
If you all would’ve been there with me, you would’ve laughed.
I actually pulled up the Blog Post I had from My Birthday Dinner there and asked the server….can you tell me what roll this is? I had it here last time and I want to get it again.
I am pretty sure he thought I was crazy ~ I had to try ~ that was a good roll lol.
I settled for Ben’s Roll ~ Spicy Tuna w/Spicy Crab, Avocado, Shrimp & Tempura Flakes (9 points+ for 8 pieces)
I think Tracey was more excited to get back for our after lunch coffee!
Foodbuzz sent me two types of Godiva Coffee as part of the tastemaker program to “brew” the perfect recipe.
Hazelnut Creme
Brewed hot and topped with fresh whipped cream and Flor De Sal Caramel. I LOVE how “rich” and nutty this coffee tastes with being so simple.
Chocolate Truffle…..OMG, the smell of this one alone makes you want to eat the coffee ground.
For this drink, we busted out the “COOL BEANS”!
We brewed & chilled the chocolate truffle coffee and added Hazelnut Crème Coffee Ice Cubes ~ COOL BEANS!
Topped with fresh whipped cream, Midnight Moo Chocolate & toasted coconut.
The chocolate truffle coffee tastes just like eating delicious Godiva Dark Chocolate with a nice Iced French Roast Coffee……I could go on describing it, but…..
I think seeing her reaction is enough to know how good this coffee is!
Yup ~ we totally drank ALL THAT COFFEE! It was delicious and I can honestly say I cannot wait to have more!
What goes better with coffee than DONUTS……These tasty little balls are super moist with hints of cinnamon and topped with a delicious vanilla glazed that melts in your mouth.
Oh and the BEST part about them ~ they are totally healthy for you and….
You get TWO Donut Holes for ONLY 1 POINTS+!

Nutritional information per serving
I bought this BabyCakes maker at Kohl’s awhile back because I thought it would be easier than making Cake Pops from scratch.
Little did I know it would be FANTASTIC for making Donut Holes too
Cinnamon Spice Donut Holes…next time I’m adding apples and/or nuts!
I LOVE that you can see the cinnamon inside ~ they are super moist inside and slightly crispy on the outside.
Drizzled! MMMMM……The perfect coffee companion…..
If you all wanted to try the GODIVA COFFEES ~ Go HERE to print out a $2.00 off coupon!
The rest of my work day wasn’t as exciting as lunch. We did, however, get the chance to meet up with Tracey and Sean again for dinner!
We had a $25 off coupon for my FAVORITE Taco place ~ TR2 in American Canyon!
We shared tableside guacamole (1/4 c = 2 points+) deal!
The BEST Fried Calamari I’ve ever had ~ it tastes like KFC Chicken…served with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. I did actually look up the points+ value of fried calamari before eating it….I saw 1/2 cup = 11 points+….yup, still had it!
Some things are just worth the points+….I can make up for it later this week.
We both ordered “Crunchy” Chicken tacos this time and didn’t eat the rice/beans. (10 points+)
Such a FUN day…the perfect way to end the week and just what I needed! Thanks TJ!

* Shannon shares one tasty recipe for 3 points+ Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream
Q’s
Your turn ~ Do you have any recipes you would make or want to see made with the Godiva Coffees I have”?
Night all!
I had such a fun day! 🙂 Hey where are the pics of you and Jay??!! They were cute!
I want a taco right about now….lol
🙂
THose donut holes look amazing. I’d love to fake them without buying the gadget as my husband would certainly divorce me if I bring one more kitchen item into the house 🙂 I suppose mini muffins would be the closest.
I think .6 is way to small to get up in arms about although I’ve been up in arms for less than that! It was a rough week- good that you can cut yourself some slack!
OMG the coffee and donut holes have me drooling this morning! I can’t believe I passed up on that gadget at Kohl’s last w/e! I have my eye on the mini donut maker, then found the pans on amazon.com, so I didn’t buy that either 🙁 I can see a few new gadgets in my future! Where can I get the coffee ice cube trays? I tired the gravitar and signed up, but I can’t get it to show up here…must be doing something wrong! Your posts are the best!
Looks like a great day. OMG…I MUST find a cool beans mold!!! Have a great week Danica!!!! .6 is NOTHING!!!
I have to say the coffee had me drooling!! and the little donut holes, love the thought of being able to make a small batch if wanted.
Danica for all your do I am surprised you don’t do wordless because your plate is so full. Take care of yourself !
I for one and I know many, many appreciate all you put into your posts and projects and we reap the benefit of it . Thank you again.
Danica,
Thanks for all of your blogs, I don’t comment often but do look for them in my inbox everyday!!! I love all of your recipes and reading about your journey. Like you, I was up .6 pounds this week, I attribute it to “that time of the month.” I wish we could just skip that week because I’m always up 🙁 Oh well, I was o.k. with that and know that I have to stay on track this week. I recently earned my 5% and am slow and steady for my 10%.
Just wanted to share a recipe I made last night..I found it on MyKitchenAdventures.com and it’s Mexican Sopes. OMG, I was in total heaven, as was my husband. You have to check it out, each sopes is 3points+ and you it’s up to you how you want to top it. I put a nice slather of refried beans, shredded lettuce, tomato, pico di gallo, chopped onion and fresh cliantro…yummy 🙂
that settles it, next time I go to kohl’s, I’m buying the babycakes maker!!!!
Hi Gail,
I actually received my Cool Beans Ice Cube Maker from the folks at Starbuck’s. I did see you can get them on amazon though.
http://www.amazon.com/Fred-Friends-Cool-Beans-Cube/dp/B003AQB2XA
I bet these mini donuts would work in the donut pan too! Just cook like you would according to the pans instructions. Let me know if you need a recommendation for that.
Thanks,
Danica
Hi Danica,
Those coffee drinks look DELICIOUS!!! Can you give us the nutrition stats for them?
Hi Jessica,
The stats for the coffee are pretty minimum as the only calories are for the whip (20 cal), caramel or chocolate (10 cal) and a pinch of coconut.
