Happy Weekend All! I have missed you all so much the past few days. This week was packed with super long work hours and a lot going on with life. The good news is I see the light at the end of the tunnel (maybe), but, the not so great news is there is still so much to be done! I always look forward to ending my day chatting with you all so I am glad to be back to “normal” with dailies this upcoming week along with another giveaway.
On that note, let’s get down to it….I couldn’t wait to head out to the Farmer’s Market this morning. Summer fruit is officially here in California and I am so excited for all it.
I promise I didn’t buy everything at the market, just……
Organic Berries…..
and more organic berries!
I am so excited that my favorite Blueberry vendor is back this year. I might be slightly impartial because her and her husband are Weight Watchers too, but, they always have to biggest, sweetest berries that are crunchy.
Cherries x’s 2! Ok, so the prices are ridiculous on these right now, but, I HAD to have them.
I bought 4 lbs of peaches, nectarines and apricots…..believe it or not, This will only get us to Thursday because The Husband eats like 3-4 pieces of fruit a day.
Breakfast involved snacking on fruit at the market and as I put everything away.
After the Farmer’s Market I headed over to get a Pedicure at this new place that just opened up by us….I LOVE new places ~ she gave me a 90 minute pedicure.
Even though I stocked up our fridge, I brought The Husband lunch from Subway. Did you all know that they have a meal builder so you can calculate the nutritional stats based on what you order? So cool ~ every place should have meal builders!
Turkey Bacon Avocado on 9-grain wheat with all the veggies (10 points+)
Plus Baked Lays (2 points+)
I snacked on 2/3 oz cashews midafternoon as I ran around getting caught up on everything I didn’t get accomplished this week. (3 points+).
Dinner involved everything I have been craving all week long.
BBQ Chicken (3 points+)
Trader Joe’s Mac n Cheese (7 points+)
Kale ~ is it weird that I crave kale?! I would eat it all the time if I could convince The Husband it is as good as I think it is
I am seriously behind on all your emails, comments, Facebook messages, etc., but, I am going to do my best to catch up with you all this week. Thanks for being patient.
STATS (12 am – 9 pm)
- 2,588 calories burned
- 8,874 steps taken
- 25 daily points+
See you all tomorrow with My Weekly Menu and Goals.
Night all!

Hi Danica,
I missed you very much. I thought there was something wrong with my e-mail. Everyday I open your e-mail first because I love the new ideas and comments. I have stayed on track since I signed up with you. Thank you for the help and I hope and pray the light will be at the beginning of the tunnel, so you can get back to normal faster and we can have the pleasure of your e-mails.
Wonderful berries. How do you keep them fresh? Do you have a secret?
I will be praying you get everything in order soon.
Thank you for all your hard work to help us!
Have a blessed Sunday!
Much love,
Cassia

Hi Danica!
Glad you survived your week! I don’t know if you’ve found a new favorite 1PP bread yet but I heard about one in my WW meeting this week and wanted to share. It’s Sprouted bread (3 varieties – Rye, Whole Wheat, 7 Grain) from Trader Joe’s. I’ve had the Rye and 7 Grain so far and it’s awesome. FYI, 1 slice = 1 and 2=2 but 3 is 4PP. I live in Chicago but I hope it’s in CA for you!

I am so jealous of your market. I am in NH for the summer and it will be another month until the first fruit, strawberries. I am getting asparagus, spinach, arugula and great fresh eggs so far at my farmers market and they all taste delish! I did get to canoe on the lake today for 3 activity points. Peaceful and relaxing.

I look forward to reading your posts and look for the email each morning. Those berries look absoulutely berry-licious! I have never tried kale, but I think I’ll give it a try. You haven’t steered me wrong yet. 🙂

Those berries look amazing! Too bad we haven’t official hit summer here in WA. *G* I have yet to try kale… keep talking it up and I might just break down and give it a try.

Yum! I can’t get enough organic berries, but mine have to come from the grocery store. I hope this summer that I can find a farmer’s market with organic items.

I love the local Farmer’s Mkt this time of year. You bought all of my favorite berries and fruits too. That BBQ

Hi Danica – could you give us some ideas on how you like to eat your kale for an upcoming post? I tried your kale chips (yummy!!) and would like some more ideas for kale! Thanks for all your work on the blog and I’m real jealous of your famers market. Here in MN, the farmers markets are barely open yet!! And we certainly don’t have organic fruit at the markets!

I’m with Carrie! I would love to get some recipes for how you eat your Kale! And I am also in Minnesota and am sad that the farmer’s markets aren’t open yet. Hopefully soon – so we can get some good fruit!

When you eat your bowl of Berries, do you messure them by the cup? Or by sight
?
DanicasDaily says
HI Colleen,
Since fruit is 0 points+, I usually just eye ball it, but, you could easily use a measuring cup.
