Bon Bons!!!

June 9, 2010 by DanicasDaily 8 Comments

Happy Hump Day all!  Today started off with a little “Food For Thought”.  I honestly pondered opening BOTH Jars I received yesterday, but, I refrained and picked the Organic Wild Blueberry Merlot.

IMG_4813

Like any good jar of  wine preserves, I had to smell it as soon as I opened it.  I LOVE that you can smell BOTH the BLUEBERRIES and the MERLOT.

IMG_4814

This has to be hands down the “prettiest” jam I’ve ever used.  The purple is so vivid and there are BIG chunks of blueberries.

IMG_4817

Of course I had it on TJ’s Seeded Sour Dough with Laughing Cow (3.5 pts) ~ absolutely delicious.  I could eat this stuff by the spoon but imagine it would be even better melted & drizzled over chicken.

To keep with the theme, I had blueberries plus a super sweet white nectarine (1.5 pts)

Mid morning snackage ~ TJ’s All American Trek Mix (3 pts).  I actually pondered digging into the bag to pick out MORE chocolate chunks to swap for nuts 😉

My shoulder is still bugging but I NEEDED the stress release of a good sweat session.  I opted for 30 minutes on the Elliptical burning 313 calories.

Lunch was a FUN salad that I ate as I worked around my plate.

An Amy Ly Caramelized Onion GOUDA Chicken Burger topped with Bolani Sweet Jalapeno sauce (3 pts).

1/2 cup Harvest Grain Salad (4 pts)

IMG_4828

Sweet Mini Peppers (0 pts).

IMG_4831

1/4 AVOCADO (2 pts)!!!! All topped with 1 Tbsp TJ’s Lowfat Spicy Peanut Dressing (1 pt)

IMG_4835

All on a bed of organic mixed greens ~ complete happiness!

IMG_4827

Mid afternoon I wasn’t really hungry but I wanted CHOCOLOVE something sweet.  Annie’s Bunny Fruit Snacks (1 pt) totally satisfied my craving.

Dinner was a new spin on our BLTA’s ~ it was a BSTG!

IMG_4847

LOVE =‘s

* 2 slices TJ’s FF Multi-Grain Bread (2 pts)

* 2 Tbsp TJ’s Avocado’s Number GUACAMOLE (1 pt)

* 2 slices TJ’s Uncured Applewood Smoked Bacon (2 pts)

* Spinach & Tomatoes

I pondered making up a cucumber salad or having chips, but, decided I wanted to save room for Trader Joe’s BON BONS!

IMG_4836

1 point each, but, 3 points for 2…..so just make sure you have them at different times to count them as 1 point each!!!! :D  I know, not totally correct but it sounds good, right?

IMG_4837IMG_4838

These are so freakin’ good!!!!  I decided it was completely worth it to have 3 for 4 points.  You know what though….I was satisfied with that!  AWESOME!

Today’s Wordless Wednesday pictures were taken when we visited St. Martin 2 years ago.

My 2 pictures (b/c I couldn’t pick just one) were taken on our trip to St. Martin in the Caribbean. People actually hung out on the beach right below where planes land. It’s sooooo entertaining because well people and their things would get blown into the ocean…yet, they stayed on the beach :D

It was crazy watching planes fly right over the beach, I know I ducked even just taking the picture.

Have a great night all!  The GIVEAWAY is coming up tomorrow!!!

    Hello! Mmmmm, that toast, cheese and jelly stuff is my favorite – no kidding I could live off it. I have been in a bread/jelly phase (I use butter instead of cheese but need to try it) for a few days now – SO GOOD. I ate 5 piece for breakfast on Monday morning (after the marathon….that justified it in my mind) and want to keep eating that many every day. LOL

    Is your shoulder sort of frozen? I had a shoulder issue a few days back and literally for the entire week it was killing me…it was so tight and frozen – that is what it is called I guess. I eventually caved in and got a very deep massage (luckily I had a gift certificate 🙂 yay! ) and then took a warm bath in epson salt – next morning I was back to normal. Heat helped A LOTTT and the massage lady suggested if it happens again to use a golf ball – sort of like the foam roller idea but since the roller can’t reach that area a golf boll does the trick – not sure how you will have to position yourself but it sounds like a great idea. All I know is that it was driving me crazy and wouldn’t go away…put a heating pad on it if you have, too. Oh, also I bought those warm pad things at the drug store…I don’t know what they are called but they come in a pack of three and stay hot for a good 5 hours…they are made for the neck, back, everywhere basically.
    Hope it gets better…oh, water is good too!

    Wow those preserves sound amazing! I love fresh blueberry jam but I’m sure the hint of Merlot just made this jam shine!

    Wow, TJ’s has the best products!!!! Seriously, I am like a kid in a candy store when I go there. Need to put the Bon Bons on my list! 🙂
