Happy Hearts Day all! I hope you all had a fun day and got a little spoiled by those around you. I absolutely love old school Valentine’s and couldn’t wait to share this one that I snapped a picture of on Sunday at the Antique Fair.
So cute!
I broke today’s eats out into two separate Daily Snap Recaps because I wanted to share pictures.
I unintentionally picked up this Oroweat Double Fiber bread this week when my usual Honey Oat was out. I was pretty excited this morning when I scanned it to see…. Drumroll….
It’s only 1 Weight Watchers SmartPoint a slice!
Tonight’s dinner is definitely on my top list of amazing meals. It was pretty easy to make and definitely has a decadence with melt in your mouth steak, a delicious demi glaze, creamy potatoes and nutty beans.
You get bonus points if you noticed The Husband drew hair, whiskers and ….. on the birds in his card to me <3
Here is how today breaks down:
B: Baggins Sandwich – one of The Husband’s favorite things. 1 slice Oroweat Bread topped with 1/2 Tbsp Land O Lakes Whipped Butter, 1 tomato slice & 1 PC Trader Joe’s peppered Turkey Bacon – sliced in half & double stacked for 5 SP, served up with grapes & berries
S: Tall Nonfat Cappuccino with caramel on top (2 SP)
L: Tuna Salad (5 oz Tjs Albacore Tuna, 2 Tbsp light mayo, 1 tsp mustard, 1/4 c red onion & celery, dashes of dill, garlic salt & pepper) – 4 SP, scooped up with 6 Whole Foods entertainment crackers & cucumber chips – 4 SP
Dessert: Tall dirty cappuccino with 1/2 oz milk chocolate (6 sp)
S: I was hungry again 2 hours later so I grabbed a Banana & a Light String Cheese (2 SP)
D: 3 oz Lean NY Steak rubbed with butt rub and seared on both sides in olive oil with a quick shallot demi glazed, 1/2 mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup Green Beans Almandine (8 SP)
The green beans are so easy – layer green beans, sprinkle with almond slices, olive oil, salt & pepper. Roast at 425 for 15 minutes shaking the pan once. Simple right?
Dessert: I pondered then decided it was totally worth it to eat one of the Baci Dark Chocolate Hazelnuts I received – omg amazing and worth 3 SP.
34 daily points
We are dinner under the light up heart he made a few years back.
Night all!
That meal looks so scrumptious!! 1 sp bread Yay!!!! Thanks Danica .
Yup that’s my bread! Sometimes hard to find! Gotta try the beans with almonds!!
I bought the same bread but it was Life-Protein. I wasn’t that crazy about it. So dense and tuff even though it was a fresh loaf. I will try this brand though for 1 SP. I love how you always break down your meals into how you prepare them. Thanks for all your creative ideas!!!!
All the above sound yum-do you have a points value for the green bean dish alone? Thanks.
Hi Kim,
2 points for 1 cup.
Thanks,
Danica
I was so excited to read this BUT
On the WW app it lists Oroweat double fiber as 2 points for 1 slice…..
Hi Candy,
I saw that too but if you use the scanner as well as manually calculate it, it’s 1 point. I think the one in the tracker is a different product as the stats are different. Perhaps they do not have the Oroweat Life bread series yet.
Thanks,
Danica
There is another kind of Nature’s Own bread that is one point per slice…It’s either 40 calories a slice or 45 calories a slice.
