Hi all! I am back with one of the many planned France Travel Recaps for you. After landing in Lyon, we drove the 1.5 hours to spend our weekend in Valence. Do you all remember my favorite discovery in Valence last time?? Mini Raviolis…don’t worry, we made sure we got our noodle fix the first night.
We stayed at the Hotel de France – view from our window. Our room was fantastic….I love the mini couch and in room espresso makers. The Husband discovered a French Caramel Frappucino. It’s not iced or made with ice but fridge cold milk, espresso, caramel and Chantilly aka whipped cream.
I had this beautiful cappuccino. He had the salami, cheese, mini pickle, mustard sandwich and I had this amazing ham and cheese quiche. After breakfast we walked through the cobble stone streets checking out the buildings.
These walkways go in so many directions. We road tripped to a few casinos near Grenoble, Bourget Lake and Lake Annecy. This was my favorite casino, the Imperial Palace along Annecy Lake. We walked the pathes around the lake snapping pictures of the ducks.Once back in town, we walked over to Cafe Hugo for dinner.I love that almost every restaurant has seating outside. It doesn’t hurt having such a great view ??
The starters they bring you while you decide what to order.I had the chicken vegetable wok noodles. It was sweet, spicy, salty and super hearty. On our next day, we hiked two castles – 84 floors and 20K steps! I’ll be back soon to share that with you all.
Night all!
