Hi all! How was your weekend? Our weekend has been good despite the non-stop rain. As I mentioned in October 2017 then again in December, WW partnered with Blue Apron which is totally fun.
But, I can make that better for those who want to give it a try. Click on this link to sign up and get 50% off your first two boxes.
New members only. Existing members can filter their program choice to WWFreestyle then pick if they want 2 or 3 recipes each week. As of now, I am pausing until I see a week that gets me excited.
Speaking of WW, I maintained at weigh in this week. I was a little bummed at first, but, I know I had a good week even with the holiday celebrations.
This morning, I cooked up a batch of 1 Point Turkey Apple Sausages, freezing half and using a few to make us Sausage Egg Sandwiches.
1 slice Oroweat Italian bread topped with 1/2 Tbsp whipped butter, a fried egg and one sausage split in half (4 sp).We ventured out in the rain just to get Starbucks.
Tall nonfat cappuccino with caramel on top of the foam (2 sp).For lunch, I had two cups of the Spring Chicken Orzo soup I made yesterday (3 sp).
Late afternoon zero point snacks – Instant Pot Hard Boiled Egg and 2 cuties.
Tonight I finally used my Instant Pot to make this recipe for 30 minute fall off the bone ribs. It’s so easy with only about 10 minutes of active time.
After rinsing, patting dry and cutting our racknof pork baby back ribs in half, I sprinkled them with a little Butt Rub.Add 1 cup apple juice, the ribs and 1/4 cup BBQ sauce drizzle. Seal and pressure cook on high for 25 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes and quick release.
It doesn’t look pretty yet but they are totally cooked and tender.
Slather both sides with BBQ sauce and broil 5-10 minutes until the sauce caramelizes and browns slightly.
Slice, drizzle with a little sauce and dive in.
The ribs are seriously tender, falling off the bone and lip smackin’ good! The Husband said I can make these any time – lol!
3 ribs for 7 SmartpointsServed up with crispy, garlic smashed potatoes (4 sp).
And zero point corn.

Thanks for recipe! Question…is it possible to make this in crockpot? I do not have an Instant Pot.
Hi Diane,
I have not tried making these in the crockpot but I bet it would work. I googled a similar recipe and I bet you could follow these steps to try it.

Let me know what you think if you try it.
Thanks for asking,
Danica
WW sent me a coupon for Blue Apron which I have used in the past. Most of the WW meals were sold out so I just did the standard meal plan. I will determine whether I want to continue based on availability of WW meals and whether they look appetizing enough to order. I do enjoy Blue Apron
Love your blog!
What BBQ Sauce do you use? Do you put the ribs on a rack or directly in the apple juice? I checked out the original recipe you have linked, but she doesn’t mention the rack either. Thank you!
Hi Kristine,
You know, I wonder if I should use the rack? I did not and put them on the apple juice. I mix up my barbecue sauces between Kinders, Trader Joe’s Kansas City and Rufus.
