Happy Weekend all! Do you ever think to yourself throughout the day that you are so funny by what you are doing and yet, you can’t change it? This was totally me yesterday. I was struggling getting up and hit snooze probably one too many times. But, I knew I wasn’t going to give up my workout. Logic would say just change your workout and do something that takes less time.
Why would I be logical?! I was so determined to do my 30 minute jog/walk on the treadmill. I did it and figured, ok, maybe I’ll save time by doing a grab & go breakfast and buying lunch. Nope, I took time to make both anyway……The rest of my morning went this way until I ran out of time and ended up leaving the house with my hair wet. The whole time I kept talking to myself (yup, just to me since The Husband already left) saying…I am so funny why don’t I just do this or that……
For those wondering, it you let your oats cool a little, it makes them easier to scoop as you drive LOL.
100% SF or 4 points+
- 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats with 1 cup water
- Sprinkle of Cinnamon & 1 tsp unsweetened coconut
- Banana and blueberries
I knew I wouldn’t get a chance to eat lunch until late so about 4 hours later, I snacked on a lite string cheese with a Pluot (SF) 1 points+.
Now here is another funny thought…..After taking 10 minutes or so to make up my Veggie Burger Salad lunch like I had yesterday, I ended up trading it in when The Husband asked me if he could stop by for lunch I am such a clown!
We ended up at La Bou where I picked 2. Spicy Thai Chicken Soup (SF or 4 points+)
Half a House Salad that is made with butter lettuce, avocado, tomato, cucumber, Jarlsberg swiss cheese and sprouts. Topped with Creamy Dill Dressing ~ like ranch, but, better SF + 4 WPA
(4 points+)
It took a lot of want power, but, I gave the bread that comes with this salad to The Husband before I could even think about taking a bite – Success!
I am pretty much hooked on fat free lattes since they are 100% Simply Filling….it totally makes it easier to justify (3 points+)
As I was driving home, The Husband suggested we head out to Monsoon & have someone else “grill” for us.
I actually dreamt about this dinner all the way home……
I was so excited……
I went to a Burger place and made a healthy Simply Filling dinner!!!
Before ordering my burger I asked what type of ground turkey they used and they showed me a Jennie-O Turkey Breast Burger which falls under Simply Filling. My fall back was going to be a garden burger if it wasn’t a lean turkey burger.
I tossed the bun and used the toppings bar to make a burger salad! SF+6 WPA or 10 points+
- Turkey burger topped with pepperjack cheese & mushrooms
- 2 types of lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Jalapenos
- Pickles
- Pickled onions
- a couple olives for color
- AVOCADO!
STATS:
- 2,689 calories burned
- 7,883 steps taken
- 10 WPA used I am pretty much out of all my WPA & AP earned this week, (26 daily points+)
We are heading out for a drive this morning, stopping at a new farmer’s market and then doing some shopping to get ready for my families birthday celebrations next weekend & our camping trip!
Catch up with you all later!

I think that Quaker Old Fashioned Oats are 4 PPV dry.

Hi Kara,
You are absolutely right, I’ll fix that now.
Thanks for letting me know,
Danica

No problem! I looked it up in my WW phone app, and the old fashioned are 4PPV while the quick cooking and steel cut are both 3! Steel cut oats might be my future. 🙂

Hi Danica,
Just wanted to let you know I purchased the Black & Decker mini chopper and made the 0 point ice cream and it worked like a charm. It comes out the consistency of Carvel, which is my favorite, You can also use peaches, nectarines, grapes or blueberries. Thanks for your help and advice.

You were talking to yourself because you enjoy talking to intelligent people! 🙂 LOL I hate the snooze button because I love it too much. Bummer. That burger/salad looks really, really good!

Great job for doing your workout!! I hit snooze way too many times most mornings and it is my workout that gets skipped. You are motivation!
