Move MORE!

July 18, 2011 by DanicasDaily 10 Comments

Happy Monday all!  Thanks for all the congrats on my loss this week.  If you all try one NEW recipe this summer, make that Summer Vegetable Pasta ~ it’s AMAZING!

This morning I snacked on a banana before hopping on the treadmill.  My legs were pretty tired today from yesterday’s run, but, I managed to get in a 33 minute jog/walk pushing myself to go faster every 30 seconds.

I was pretty hungry after I worked out so I dug right into breakfast.

Sometimes there is nothing as good as melted peanut butter on top of a toasty English Muffin. (7 points+)

Plus MELON & PINEAPPLE!!! Is it odd that I think the BEST thing about going to the store this week was restocking this?!

I know….I am so easy to please…..give me a watermelon & I’ll be your BFF, for like ever!

IMG_4605

I have actually been kind of excited to try this Morning Star Sesame Chik’n, but, have been waiting for a day when I had 0 time to make lunch.

IMG_4612

I was totally willing to overlook the LONG ingredient list because I recognize everything and because I LOVE Morning Star Veggie Sausages & Chik Patties!

8 points+ for the entire box.

I LOVE how FULL the container was….visually it makes you not feel like it’s a frozen meal.

If you like sweet sauces, then, you might like this…I felt like it needed salt to balance the sweetness.

I was bummed the chicken wasn’t as crispy as those patties.  It wasn’t bad, but, I probably won’t get it again.

Served up with a Trader Joe’s Light String Cheese & Nectarine.  I actually packed a side salad too but didn’t eat it because I was satisfied with this. (1 points+)

Dessert!  WW FROSTED Cinnamon Pop Chips (2 points+)

When I got home from work I really wanted to snack, sit on the couch and watch Food Network.

But, I decided to MOVE MORE!

I headed out and mowed our front/back yard, our neighbors yard and then, went and mowed The Husband’s Moms yard for good measure.

Then, something REALLY, REALLY SAD HAPPENED!

I spent a half hour cleaning & scrubbing our BBQ & grates only to find out ~ No MORE!  The pipes that feed the gas are all burned out on 1 of the burners Sad smile.

On the BRIGHTER SIDE ~ I GET A NEW GRILL!!!! Open-mouthed smile

The Husband and I polished off the rest of our Summer Pasta Salad for dinner.  I was STARVING so I had 2 heaping cups for 8 points+. I earned it!

I think it tastes even better the next day!

Currently we are snacking on cherries while watching The Bachelorette.

OMG, same thing happened to our grill and we got a new one last week! You gotta check out the STOK Quattro 4-burner at Home Depot, on sale for $299. right now. It’s got these 4 great inserts for grilling veggies, and a pizza stone! We tried it this week-end for the first time and it’s a dream!! Love the pasta recipe, can’t wait to try it! Great weight loss too Danica!

That’s sad about your grill, but at least you get a new one. I’ve been really wanting a grill especially with this hot weather so I wouldn’t have to turn on the oven.

I’ve tried the Morningstar Sesame Chick’n too and was disappointed as well. Mine only had about 3 little pieces of “meat” it in it and I did not enjoy how much batter was wrapped around the itty bitty chunk! The best one of Morningstar Farms frozen dinners is definitely their lasagna

:O! Not the grill!!!! Hope your new ones even better because a grill is a must right now!!

I hope your grill shopping is fun & productive. Congrats on the loss! Way to go!
Good news: I earned *74* Activity Points last week!!!
Bad news: I was up 2lbs, but I had a little ice cream & jellybean binge… so, it was yummy but I’m back on track now (I think… I hope!)

I’m teaching at least 7 Zumba classes weekly and just finding myself wanting to nibble after dinner…. hmmmmmmmmmmm – gotta nibble different stuff. 🙂
