Quick, fast, simple, good!

August 5, 2009 by DanicasDaily 6 Comments

I actually didn’t realize I was hungry until after I finished cooking The Husband dinner.  Tonight I went for simple and pretty much NO dishes.  I grilled up the other Jennie-O Southwestern Turkey Loins we had in the freezer.  I really think they are such a good deal – you get 4 99% Fat Free Seasoned Turkey Loins for only $11+ some change.

I had two slices ~ about 1 oz/1 Weight Watcher Point.  I had intentions of using the other loin to make up tacos tomorrow but The Husband ate 1 1/2 (yup, that’s like over 1 lb of meat LOL).  I am thinking I can use it for lunch tomorrow now instead ~ I am envisioning a nice sandwich with Tillamook Pepperjack Cheese and stuff……YUM!

Plus a little bit of linguine with a kiss of whipped butter, salt & pepper.

and a BUNCH of watermelon.  I had this plus a few pieces as I sliced it up.

All together I know my dinner looks so little but it was the perfect amount to take my hunger away and help me compensate for my heavy calorie lunch/snack.  I love it when dinner is so quick, simple, yet really tasty and satisfying.

I am off to watch “Shark Week” with The Husband and maybe read a little.  He LOVES Discovery channel and I usually read while he watches it.  But, Shark Week is pretty cool – you all should check it out!

Nite all!

Mm, those grilled turkey loins look great. The perfect dinner, not too big and not too small. 😀

Tasty ~ They are awesome because you can cook both up and have two dinners. That is usually how I like to use them and they are so versatile.

      Sarah ~ I agree – I LOVE all watermelon.

Becci ~ I was able to find them at Safeway as well as Costco and Sam’s Club if that helps. You could maybe check the Jennie-O site to see if they have them near you?

      Shirley ~ I’d be sad if I didn’t LOVE watermelon 🙂

Janetha ~ I am seriously LOVING shark week even if it makes me more afraid of sharks LOL.
