Two In One Day

March 11, 2010 by DanicasDaily 17 Comments

I started off with a Grande FF Decaf Latte for 2.5 points.  Then, I took my 2 slices of Light Orowheat Bread, banana and cashew butter and….

Turned into this!  I LOVE Cashew Banana Chip Toast (4 pts)

IMG_0655

Mid morning I was really craving salty crunchy.  So, I mixed 1 point of Olive Oil Rosemary Triscuits with my low fat cheese and an apple for a 3 point snack.

IMG_0656

The day completely flew by because I was super busy.  I LOVE days like that ~ so much better than looking at the clock like every hour. Lunch was so easy yet so delicious.

I started off with a big bottle of HOMEMADE Fizzy Water a la Soda Stream.

IMG_0658

All morning long I was thinking about eating more of that Harvest Grain salad I made last night.  I imagined it would be so much better “chilled and marinated” the next day. I honestly think this is my FAVORITE new grain mix and this salad rocks ~ 1/2 c = 4 pts.

IMG_0667

Cucumber slices plus sea salt & pepper on the side for crunch.

IMG_0662

My lunchtime protein was included in my 5 pt “dessert”.

IMG_0664

1 Nectarine

1 container TJ’s Organic LF Vanilla Yogurt

1/4 c Udi’s BanaBerry Granola

Lunch every day should be this simple and delicious.

After work I quickly stopped by the house to pick up The Husband and head to my Weight Watcher meeting since today was my Hair Appointment day his poker day.  I have to say I am glad that the scale is moving down again ~ I lost .6 lbs, however, I  think with all the running I’ve been doing, I feel like I deserved so much more.

I know it’s all about the journey and there isn’t a “rush” to reach your goal. But, some weeks “feel” like you should have super star weigh ins and this week was one of them.

After our meeting, we headed out of town and stopped at Subway.

IMG_0673

I LOVE that I feel like I get an entire serving of Veggies in my sandwich :D  I had a Turkey Ham on 9-grain honey oat with AVOCADO and ALL the produce for 6 points.  Today I went for the chips since I wasn’t feeling the apples ~ I had Baked Lays for 2 points.

IMG_0672

I always bring my Hair Dresser a Starbuck’s and completely forgot this morning when I had one.  I pondered just getting some herbal tea (but it makes me sleepy), so I just went with what I really wanted ~ Another tall ff, decaf latte with caramel drizzle on top.  It’s ok…..The Husband told me TWO STARBUCK’s in ONE DAY is OK 😀 So, that totally justifies it, right? 😉

Alright all, I am rushing out the door ~ Happy Friday Eve!!!! See you all tonight!

I lurk often but I just wanted to let you know its common not to lose weight when training for half & full marathons. I pretty much always maintain when I am training. Dont get frustrated – you are doing great!

Ok, I despise Subway from a bad experience previously but your sub looks awesome! I didnt even know they had avocado there.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with two Starbucks a day—I am a 2 a day-er most of the wk since they offer free refills on your coffee if you get the drip stuff and your card is registered.

great job on your .6 weight loss! I really admire the fact you are setting a good example that you CAN eat tasty, yet healthy, food while working to lose weight. Peolpe are so eager to try the “quickest” diet and often end up gaining all the weight they lost, plus more. The weight lost adds up over time and before you know it, it is 3lb..then 51b….etc. Cool post…it is making me hungry! 🙂

that is so sweet that you bring your hairdresser something from SB’s! What a great way to show kindness 🙂

And I also love how you eat. You are still making progress but enjoying it as well. I can tell you aren’t depriving yourself and I think that is going to make for some wonderful lasting results.

    Congrats on the loss!

When I go to Subway I go crazy with the pepperoncinis and olives. I say “oh just a few more” about three times. Sort of like the salsa! 😉

    HI E,

Yes and YES! I absolutely LOVE My Soda Stream. I am a big fan of fizzy water and used to always buy it at Costco for like $15 for a case of 24. Each bottle was only like 12 oz. I can make one liter (33 oz) of Fizzy water for alot less than that and I feel like I am being better for the environment by not wasting bottles too. Each CO2 Bottle lets you make like 120 liters of fizzy water which is a ton. It really helps me to get my water as it is a nice change from regular water. I sometimes will add a splash of fruit juice or lemon/lime slices to mix it up too.

If you are a soda fan, then, you can easily order their sampler package to try the flavors you like then order the bottles in the flavors you like. I know that my nephews have fun mixing up the different flavors of soda (orange plus ginger ale, etc). Plus their sodas have half the sugar. They say that each can of soda with a Soda Stream costs only $0.25 which is cheaper than buying it for sure.

I think it is honestly one of my FAVORITE things in my kitchen and I highly recommend it to everyone I talk to. If you lived buy me, I’d make you a drink and you’d see 😀

You can recycle the CO2 cartridges too which I LOVE – they make the exchange process fairly easy and you don’t have to exchange that often. I can tell you that I use mine daily and I’ve only had to refill one CO2 bottle so far.

Here is an initial write I did on it, if that helps.

Please let me know if you have any specifics you want to know or what not and I’d be glad to answer if I can.

Good luck and do tell if you get one. I have no doubt you will LOVE it!
