Hi everyone! How was your weekend? Our weekend was the perfect mix of getting things done, relaxing and family fun celebrating my Mom’s birthday. I wasn’t really feeling smaller this week and I know I do not do as well when we have too many meals out regardless of how healthy my choices are. I was up .4 lbs this week meaning I pretty much maintained over the last two weeks. I’m still down for the month so I’m good with it and plan on using it for motivation this week.
I’ve done a bit of prep this week for our meals and I’m pretty excited we are getting a delicious Blue Apron box. Stay tuned later this week as I’ll be giving away 4 free boxes to you all.
Saturday I picked some blueberries in our garden. The Husband teased its only a “few” but I’m pretty excited I actually grew blueberries! I cant wait for mini plant to grow up so we will get bowls of blueberries.
Saturdays breakfast was out at Huckleberry’s. I always give my hash browns to The Husband but I kept a bite this time.
Followed up by a fun lunch thanks to Trader Joe’s.
The best part….not having to heat up the house to make these. Simply tossed the slaw together while you heat the chicken in the microwave. Top tortilla and tadah – one light & tasty wrap for 4 Smartpoints.
Dinner involved grilling up Aidells Chicken Apple Sausages. Served up with a Cucumber & Tomato salad made from our garden.
I picked up these Organic Healthy Choice Fudge bars at Costco awhile back and finally tried them out. I love the ingredient list and that they are only 5 Smartpoints.
This morning we headed out of town early to spend the day with my family celebrating my Mom’s birthday.
I had 1/4 of a Subway Ham, Egg & Cheese Flat bread for 6 Smartpoints.
Plus my grande iced Nonfat Latte with caramel on top for the drive (3 sp).
My mom picked Thai Paradise for her birthday lunch. I love her for that!
Peanutty starter salads (1 sp)
She also knows me too well – she ordered Fresh Veggie Spring rolls with peanut & plum dipping sauces for the table before I could mention it. I’m super proud of all my nieces and nephews for trying those “weird” things. I think it’s because The Husband told them it was like having pb&j (sauces) lol. I had 2 pieces for 2 sp.
I had Thai Basil Chicken with Jasmin rice. (4 sp + 6 sp)
We all headed out to get arm workouts gambling after lunch. I have to say it was so fun to keep running into my brother, sister, mom as we all worked our way around the place.
On our way back into town, we had dinner at Los Pinos with my mom.
Chips, bean dip & fresh tomato salsa (12 chips for 4 sp)
The Husband was really excited to order the Jalapeno Poppers when he saw them. He was expecting fried goodness but these grilled peppers came out. I did have 1 – it was interesting but not really my thing. (2 sp).
I only managed eating one of my chicken tacos picking a few pieces of chicken from the other and skipped the beans/cilantro rice as they just weren’t worth the points. (6 sp)
Today came in at 34 Daily Smartpoints, 7K+ steps.

Night all!
Sorry….. What is BA?
Hi Nancy,
BA = Blue Apron.
Thanks for asking,
Danica
Curious how many points an Aidells sausage is? Safeway’s Open Nature chicken sausages are 3 and very good!
Hi Nancy,
It depends on which you buy but they are between 4 – 6 points. For example, the artichoke are 4, chicken Apple are 5 and bacon mushroom are 6.
I’ll have to look for Open Nature.
Thanks,
Danica
