Happy Friday EVE all! You didn’t really think I wouldn’t get a Dirty Latte today, did you?! LOL…I actually really TRIED. I made up coffee this morning but decided it just didn’t taste as good as a DIRTY Latte (4 points+)
This morning I was totally craving Nooks and Crannies! I traded in my hard boiled egg for a Sara Lee English Muffin topped with 1 Tbsp WHIPPED Butter (5 points+)
A HUGE Bowl of Melon ~ I honestly could eat GOOD watermelon and cantaloupe every day and never get tired of it.
Sometimes it’s the simplest breakfasts that are the best ~ 110% what I was craving.
We had a working lunch today so I didn’t have the chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine. I did however make everyone stop so I could eat! Priorities, right
A HUGE bowl of TJ’s Organic Broccoli Slaw with carrots for color, 1 Tbsp TJ’s Spicy Peanut Dressing and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes (1 point+)
I had brought in leftover Chipotle Chicken and corn salsa to make a fiesta chicken salad, but, I honestly didn’t want it. I was CRAVING these Healthy Choice Potsticker’s that I have had in the freezer forever!
They used to be 7 points for the entire container. The new points+ value is 9. It definitely has a higher points+ value due to the carb to protein ratio.
I LOVE the ingredient list and that companies are getting on board with REAL ingredients you can recognize….nothing funky. WTG HC!
I absolutely LOVE the potstickers ~ they were dense and chewy and their sauce is sweet plus spicy. I honestly think I could eat an entire meal of just the potstickers plus veggies, trading in the rice
Believe it or not, lunch and being super busy at work, kept me full for 6 hours. The Husband had a rough day so I decided to change up dinner to make one of his favorite meals.
Grilled veggies tossed with 2 Tbsp Olive Oil, Garlic Salt and Black Pepper.
My 1 Point+ portion.
Sweet, Crunchy Corn!!! (2 points+)
BURGERS!!!
* 3 oz 96% Lean Ground Beef Burger – 3 points+
* 1 Slice TJ’s Lite Cheddar 2 points+
* Lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup mustard all on a
* Sesame Bun (my store brand) – 3 Points+
Yes, I still totally cut my burger in half, diagonally, just like my sandwiches
FRIDAY FUN!!!!
* New Friends for Weight Loss Recipe ~ 3 Point+ Mayo-Less Tuna “Wraps”

Q’s
My question tonight is totally random and not related at all to my post, but, it is what comes to mind as I am blogging and watching the Food Network
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD NETWORK SHOW? You can totally list more than one because well for me ANY time The Food Network is on, it’s a good show
If I have to pick a few….I LOVE watching Barefoot Contessa, Giada, Iron Chef and CHOPPED!
Night all!
Kristina @ spabettie says
that burger looks FABULOUS! YUM !!
…and so do the Nooks and Crannies… oh yum.
I love Ina Garten. and I like to watch Giada’s shows for her recipes, but… she kinda bugs me? I love Iron Chef. I used to go to my dad’s house and watch with him every Sunday night. 🙂
maria @ Chasing the Now says
LOVE Potstickers. They’re called gyoza (guh-yo-zuh) in Japan. I order them every week when we visit a local ramen shop. The couple who owns the shop makes THE BEST gyoza I’ve ever had and it’s all from scratch!
Sarah says
I’m a big fan of pot stickers, too. I love them dipped in a spicy peanut sauce. As for Food Network shows, I really like Good Eats and Barefoot Contessa.
Lauren says
GOOD question!! I think my favorite show is Everyday Italian. I just love Giada and I love her show.
Carlee says
I love Good Eats. Alton Brown is so geeky and I like that 🙂
I’ve been enjoying Worst Cooks in America and Anne Burrell’s Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. She makes me laugh the way she grunts and dances and acts silly. She seems like “real people”.
Corinne says
That grilled dinner makes me so green with envy – we have so much snow that our grill is buried under several feet of it- but my mouth was watering at just the sight of your awesome photos of your dinner! Spring can’t get here soon enough!
I like watching Giada, Barefoot Contessa, Good Eats – but I also like to watch how Sandra Lee changes up her kitchen and table scapes (and of course her coctails, hee hee). I’m like you…I could just set the TV to the TV network and keep it there all day!
Christine says
Yum – all of your eats for the day look delicious! I could watch anything on the food network and be happy. I’ve recently been watching 10 Dollar Dinners and 30 Minute Meals. 🙂
Marisa @ Loser for Life says
What a fab dinner! Hope it cheered up the hubby!
I’m surprised to see Healthy Choice having recognizable ingredients! Maybe these food companies are starting to see the light!
Favorite FN show would be Barefoot Contessa. I just love her and her food always looks amazing, but simple to make! Ever try her Outrageous Brownie recipe? To.die.for. And workout 3 days nonstop for 😉
Cee says
I love HC potstickers! Yum! I also love trader joes but I don’t get there very often.
You make great use of your points, thats fantastic, gives me a lot of good ideas.
I don’t watch TV very often so I don’t have a fave cooking channel show. I would like to watch the hungry girl show if I ever had the chance.
brandi says
Barefoot Contessa! I want to be Ina’s new best friend and have dinner parties with her and Jeffrey 🙂
StorageLady says
THe Contessa (it goes without saying), Anne Burrell – because every recipe of hers that I’ve tried has been delicious, Big Daddy – but, often I want to hit the “mute” button because he’s just so darn verbally awkward.
Most hated? The Neely’s. Their cutesy banter and behavior drives me nuts.
renee@mykitchenadventures says
Food Network…Ina hands down. ( actually posted one of her recipes redone today on my blog! http://mykitchenadventures1.blogspot.com/2011/02/vanilla-bean-yogurt-cake.html ) but lately, I have grown pretty fond of America’s test kitchen and cooks country…I love how they break down the science and review products.
Melissa @ TryingToHeal says
i love the best thing i’ve ever eaten editions! the dessert one is to die for!!!!
phyllis says
First, I just love, love love your website!
Is there a list of grocery “must haves” ?
Megan says
I LOVE Food Network! Ask my husband… that’s all I watch (oh, and HGTV too!). My favorite shows are Throwdown, Iron Chef America, Tyler’s Ultimate, Cupcake Wars, anything Paula Deen, etc. I could go on and on… I know everyone raves about Ina, but I find her show boring (gasp!). Her food looks good, but I can’t watch her.
Josie says
YUMMM!! I love Cupcake Wars, Chopped, Diners drive inns and dives, can’t think of any more!! Happy weekend!
Christin@purplebirdblog says
I had to really think about cutting a round object diagonally for a minute… I am NOT a morning person! 😉
Leslie says
Hi, my name is Leslie and I’m a FoodNetworkaholic…LOL! Love just about every show on there but my current favs are Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Best Thing I Ever Ate and 10 Dollar Dinners. I love the HC Potstickers too Danica. The points are a little high but totally worth it!
Jessamyn says
I LOVE the Barefoot Contessa. But my absolutely all-time favorite show is Good Eats- Alton Brown has taught me more about food than any cookbook ever has!
Denise says
Oooh thanks for the Popchips coupon Danica, I just bought a bag at Target this week, I’ll get 2 next time I’m there, I love em 😉
I love Foodnetwork too, Ellie Krieger is my fav right now, although I think I’ve seen all her episodes, or is she on the Cooking chanel right now? I’m not sure as I always tivo the cooking shows!
Linda says
I totally agree… BAREFOOT CONTESSA all the way!
Michele says
My favorite Food Network show is The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
Dawn says
I’ve had many favorites throughout the years…the problem is that many of them started to get on my nerves…(Rachel, Giada, Sandra, Paula, Ina…) my current faves that I enjoy are Guys Big Bite(great cocktails) and Secrets of a Restaurant Chef(I love how she teaches techniques in a simple way).
Danica you should do a Weight Watchers show!!!
Vanessa says
Gosh, that’s a hard question for me! I love The best thing I’ve ever ate, Paula Deen, The Neelys, Unwrapped, Challenge, and Diners,Dive in and Drives. Yeah, I watch food network too much!!
Cheri Zinzer says
I adore Alton Brown. I love his quirky sense of humor, the skits, and the science behind all those GOOD EATS.
TracyP says
Looks like I’m a rare Nigella Lawson fan. She is on the Cooking Channel now but used to be on the Food Network. Her recipes are so easy and tasty, and I love her passion for food.
BroccoliHut says
My favorite of all-time was Healthy Appetite with Ellie Krieger, but I also love Good Eats.
Carolynne says
Haha I love that you cut your round burger diagonally!! Is it possible? Lol. I don’t have cable so I don’t watch very much live TV. But when I am away or running at the gym I always seems to catch Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I LOVE it! It makes me want to drive all over the USA just to visit all these cute places!! Haha.
Jacquie says
I have to say I didn’t think I would like the “Cook yourself thin” series, but they are great…I am so amazed at how they work over the high cal meals and transform them into something that is sensible calorie wise and still very tasty…shows like these will help me on the weight loss journey. Have a great day all.
