Happy WEEKEND all! I think it’s safe to say you all LOVE snack mix as much as I do. I mean what is not to LOVE about, salty, crunchy, cheesy goodness! I can’t wait to share in the FUN and host an Annie’s NEW Organic Snack Mix Giveaway for you all
Yesterday I couldn’t wait to get on the scale for weigh in. I have to say though, despite all the things I listed in having a good week and leaving 31 of my WPA on the table uneaten, the scale showed me up .8 lbs. I was pretty bummed but, then, I remembered all the Non-Scale Victories we talked about this past week and realized, it’s one week (maybe BlogHERFood was catching up with me) and the number on the scale does not determine my success. It’s all the little things I did right that made my week a success and in the end, that is all that really matters.
It’s a NEW WEEK and I am going to keep on keepin’ on because I know my efforts are going to show at the scale.
Breakfast involved these Sonoma Carb Cutting Tortillas I picked up at Trader Joe’s.
I actually have avoided getting these because I would rather have corn tortillas than La Tortilla tortillas. But, Tracey told me I had to give them a try because they really didn’t taste “diety”.
For 1 points+ each, I figured it was worth it….well that and we were out of bread LOL.
I “fried” an egg in nonstick spray with sea salt and black pepper, cooked up a Morning Star Hot & Spicy Veggie Sausage and then “fried” a tortilla in nonstick spray with 1 Tbsp REAL FULL FAT shredded pepperjack cheese.
Then, rolled it up to make a 5 minute Cheesy Sausage Breakfast Burrito.
MMMMMM ~ It honestly tastes just like a Sausage Egg McMuffin and all for 6 points+!
I had a “peeled” orange on the side.
This kept me full for 4 hours and I probably could’ve gone even longer ~ Protein Power!
I met Tracey of Tj’s Test Kitchen today for SUSHI! Sometimes I really think we are so alike…I had been craving sushi all week and was getting ready to ask her if she wanted to go with on Friday when she sent me a message asking Like minds!
Miso Soup (2 points+)
Salad ~ I LOVE this dressing and actually pondered using it as the dipping bowl for my sushi (I could totally lick the bowl if nobody was looking ) (3 points+)
Since we ended up having a late lunch (more like afternoon linner), we ordered edamame and shared. I think its AWESOME you get 1/2 cup edamame in their pods for only 1 points+.
This is the roll I DREAM about…..I could eat this a couple of times a week and NEVER get tired of it.
TUNA STEAK ~ Spicy Crab Meat Topped with Ahi, Avocado, Green Onions, Tobiko SRIRACHA and special sauce = LOVE!!
I estimated this based off a Spicy Tuna Roll at 1 points+ a piece. (9 points+)
Mid Afternoon Snackage ~ Venti Iced Coconut Dirty Latte (4 points+)
PLUS ~ CHOCOLOVE!!! Tracey has never had it and well it’s been too long since I’ve had it in my life.
We each had 3 squares for 2 points+! I LOVE this bar because it’s creamy, crunchy, you get WHOLE almonds and you can taste the sea salt.
The Husband declared last night Date Night (another reason I never made it back to post!) and we headed out for dinner and a movie. He actually picked Panda Express!
Everything sounded and looked so good, I kind of went a little crazy. But, for me, this was totally worth busting into my WPA for!
String Bean Chicken & Mushroom Chicken
1/2 order of Chow Mein ~ I was going to resist but they made a fresh batch and brought it out right as I was standing there.
1/2 order of Steamed Veggies (I think she did more of a 2/3 and 1/3 lol).
Punched into their Nutrition Calculator my meal comes up to 17 points+.
After dinner we ROLLED into watch The Hangover 2. I have to say we both agreed the first was better, but, it was still pretty funny and there definitely a few LMAO moments.

Wow I’m not even a big chocolate/sweets person but that chocolate/almond bar looks sooo good!
You always have such great recommendations. Just this morning I picked up one of those margherita puff pizzas while I was at Trader Joe’s and had half for lunch with a salad. I had eyed them before but always passed them up til I read your post the other day. YUMMM! I seriously want to go back and buy more now.

Aww I’m sorry your weigh-in was a bit of a let down. Just be proud that you know you did everything right and our bodies don’t always cooperate.
On another note, that Chocolove with almonds and sea salt is my absolute favorite! I’ve tried other brands and they just don’t compare.
Here’s to another great week!

I feel you with the scale. Today I weighed in and I was up .6. My jaw literally dropped, and the receptionist asked me if I was surprised. Shocked was more like it. In the past month, I’m only down .2, and I’m tracking EVERYTHING, staying within my points, and exercising 4 times a week – getting around 40 miles a week in on the bike. BUT, I have my NSVs, my loose pants and stronger leg muscles. I know if I just stay the course, I’ll see it soon on the scale. Actually, that’s the thing. I DO see it on the scale, at home. lol. Stinkin fluids. Yesterday was crazy, and I had more coffee than water, so I don’t think that helped me. Oh, well… This is a new week, my fruit basket is restocked, and I’ve gotten over it. Now, off to my bike. =-)

I’m sorry for your gain – I know how frustrating that can be when you feel like you’ve had such a great OP week. It’s so true that this one number does not determine your success, and you’re got a great attitude about it! Keep up the good work 😀
Did you see that Morningstar Farms has a new hot and spicy breakfast sausage? I have to say, it’s not quite as hot as I would have thought given the name, but it’s pretty good. I know you like spice in the morning like I do so I thought I would pass along my new find!

Hi Dannica…I will have to try those tortillas…I am always on the search for a good tortilla that is not too “pointy”, and does not taste diet or super wheaty! Since I have been unsuccessful thus far so I have been using Calidad flour tortillas for 3 pp each. Great flavor and texture so they are worth the points! I whip 1 egg and 1 egg white with a fork, put it in a frying pan with Pam and tilt the pan to spread the egg out. I then add sea salt and pepper, and once almost set I turn off the fire and flip it for just a minute to finish cooking. I then take it out of the pan, put in my tortilla to heat through, flip it, add cheese, put my egg on it, and then roll the tortilla. It is so good and because the egg and cheese is on every surface of the tortilla and each bite is the same. Today I added 2 oz of ham for 1pp, and I ALWAYS add 2-3 packets of Taco Bell mild sauce…it is a new obsession, but the scale has been good to me so I figure I will continue with it. I hope the scale reflects your efforts by next week, I know how discouraged some of the girls get. I have been lucky so far, knock on wood, but I know I too would be disappointed. Best hopes for a great week!
