Happy Biggest Loser Day all! I think it’s awesome that you all LOVE Wickles as much as I do. I am not as much of a pickle person as The Husband, but, Wickles are another story. I am pretty sure I could eat a whole lotta Wickles LOL.
Yesterday we were up bright and early and ready to Walk Around the World in a Day at Epcot Center. We made the decision that we are only going to do things in Orlando that we cannot do back home…..Epcot Center is one of those things…..
When you walk in the entrance you see several Disney Characters that are made out of flowers and plants.
Our first stop was StormStruck ~ it is a total 4D Weather simulation where you get to experience a hurricane. Then, you build your own house to help it “weather” the storm.
We all got to wear these cool yellow glasses that made everything in the movie pop out in front of your face. They have the full experience where you feel gusts of wind and rain.
Next up, we did our walk around the world. I took a million pictures (no really, around 300) so I tried to just pick out a few that I LOVED the most.
The BEST thing about Epcot to me is the Around the World Walk ~ all of the buildings, exhibits and restaurants let you have the chance to experience a little bit of each country.
If you ever had the chance to do the Eat & Drink Around the World Festival, I think it would be the best way to experience all these exhibits at Epcot!
1st up ~ Mexico!
The shops had cool art…..
Totally ridiculous outfits for your bears or maybe dogs?! LOL….
China….
As you walk along the “streets” there are a bunch of “street vendors” that are selling different things. Some are Disney related while others are related to the country you are in.
I absolutely LOVE that Disney is working on sustainability and recycling their paper into Jewelry.
You can actually take a boat ride all around the lake to visit each country and there are plenty of tables next to the lake to stop for a break or grab a snack.
This car is totally made out of wood and is part of where they sell Coca Cola.
Germany!
This little town was probably one of my FAVORITE exhibits…..
Everything is miniature including little people working in the village.
All of the lizards were hanging out on their houses so I think they must “run” the town.
Epcot is getting ready for their Holidays around the world so all of the holiday decorations were displayed….even in the “little town”. So CUTE!
Doesn’t this donkey look completely real?! It’s a statute…
Italy!
America!
Oh yea ~ we totally took another Christmas Tree Picture
He asked me if I wanted him to be my Sugar Daddy and share this pop with him for a couple of weeks ~ The 1 LB Sugar Daddy Bar LOL……
Japan!
These little Owl Bowls totally made me think of Janetha of Meals & Moves….LOVE!
We actually found a relatively healthy place to eat at Epcot that didn’t cost an arm & a leg. We bought it at a little stand in Japan town were everything was $10 or less.
My Mom and I shared the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl (the chicken was weird so we gave it to Mikey ~ The Husband).
Plus an OK California Roll.
France!
The UK (United Kingdom)
I totally LOVE these flower and plant buckets….I think it would be awesome on our porch.
CHEESEEEEEEE!!! The Husband made the 3rd face a “pop” bottle LOL…..
We all agreed that Canada by far was the most beautiful exhibit.
The lake, waterfall, flowers, trees, cottage ~ everything was just beautiful.
After we made it around the world, we stopped at Captain EO in 4D.
When we walked out of Captain EO the sky looked like this (that is Epcot Ball ~ doesn’t it look like the moon?!)
Luckily my mom saved the day because she carries ponchos and an umbrella in her backpack at all times
Needless to say we decided to call it a day and didn’t stay for the laser light show that I hear is amazing.
We were all pretty hungry after spending all day walking (I wish I wore my pedometer!). For dinner, we headed to Tijuana Flats for Healthy Mex & delicious Smack My @$$ and Call Me Sally Hot Sauces.
Today, we are heading out to the Kennedy Space Center ~ too bad we will miss the launch that is happening on Saturday.
Catch up with you all later!
I am so jealous!!! I am a total Disneyland nut! I’ve never been to Disney World before, but I would love to see Epcot, and maybe the Animal Kingdom. You’ve made me want to see Epcot even more now! It looks beautiful there!
I love the lizards on the tiny houses and the fact that you have have a picture in front of the tree in which you are wearing shorts! 🙂
Great pics!! We were just at Epcot in the beginning of the month. My first visit there since I was 8, lol! Just a few weeks ago, it was packed with people, but it seems less crowded now based on your pics. I couldn’t get any pics without dozens of people in the background. The food and wine festival was going on when we were there, so there were dozens of booths with small portioned food from various countries. I think you would have liked them! They were delish.
Wow thank you so much for sharing epcot with us! I had never seen any of it before and now I am definitely going there if I ever get down to Florida! Ps. I want those owl bowls!
Epcot is one place I’d LOVE to go some time. I love to travel and Epcot looks like a great way to “travel” to a whole bunch of places at once.
Hi Danica. Wow….what a great tour. Thanks for sharing the photos. Bummer about the rain, but looks like you got a whole lotta “travel” in before the skies opened.
Looks like you guys are having a blast!!! Epcot is SO fun! I’m glad you were able to experience the whole park. Did you see the movie in China!?! Amazing! SUCH a beautiful country!
I love EPCOT – so much! 🙂 My face is on one of the Living Legacy monoliths, along with the friends with whom I went. Must go again.
