New Records!

June 13, 2010 by DanicasDaily 7 Comments

Happy Weekend All!  Yesterday was such a fun day and I eve broke a personal record of mine!  My sister and I met up for our usual long weekend running chat sessions.  We knew it was going to be HOT, but, had not idea it would be THAT HOT.  We started off with our usual run/walk walk intervals, but, by 9 AM it was 90 degrees.   We decided to JUST WALK IT and chatted it up for two hours going 7.07 miles.  No no, that’s not the personal record 🙂

I have never, ever,in the 2 years I have owned my Body Bugg, broke the 4,000 calorie burned mark (even when I did my triathlon 1 1/2 years ago or my half marathon.  But, yesterday…check out the stats!

Calories burned: 4,250

Steps taken: 20,797

Activity level in hours/minutes: 5:18

AWESOME!  It’s such a motivator to watch my numbers grow all day long as I take more steps and burn more calories. :D  It all fairness though, that included a bunch of walking after we walked.

To fuel my workout, I had a little crunchy organic peanut butter toast on TJ’s Fat Free Multi-Grain (3 pts) plus 1/2 a banana (1 pt).

After out walk, we headed over to a new Farmer’s Market that was AMAZING!  It’s up there on the list of top Markets I’ve visited…not just for what they have, but, their prices were really good.  For those in Sacramento, it’s the one over by County Club Plaza on Saturday from 8:00-12:00

I was too lazy to take pictures, but, you will be seeing it all this week ~ yellow zucchini, rainier cherries, organic lettuce, nectarines, 2 types of pluots, Sourdough Walnut Wheat Bread, Garlic Crushed Red Pepper Bread and applewood smoked almonds.

My sis also gave us a ton of stuff from her garden too! :D  She rocks!

We met up with The Husband for lunch at Jack’s Urban Eats where I got my 10 point usual salad ~ it was HUGE!

After we spent some time visiting Historic Old Town Folsom and Old Town Auburn looking for poker chips.  I guess I wasn’t feeling like taking too many pictures because the ONLY one I managed was this sign that The Husband wanted to add to the rainbow collection 😀

OH and ice cream!  I had Wild Berry Sorbet on a Sugar Cone (3 pts)

Dinner was SO simple and involved my latest Trader Joe’s Find ~ Southwestern STUFFED Chicken Breasts.

Only 4 points for 5 ounces!

All you do is bake them for an hour ~ so EASY!

I was so excited when I cut them in half and saw the middle ~ This chicken is delicious!  It’s like a crossed between enchiladas and stuffed Chile rellenos.

I cut one breast in 2 and picked the bigger side for 7.5 oz (6 pts).

Simple Parmesan Zucchini on the side (1 pt)

DANG!!!! That is a boatload of calories! I reached a record with my bugg this weekend at 2500 calories.

That chicken from Trader Joe’s looks great. I may look for it when I go later this week. YUM!
