Happy Monday all! I told The Husband I am going to try to do my post in 20 minutes or less….Think I can do it?! Here I go…….
Today started off with two more Taco Egg Muffins. MMMM, I am pretty sure I could never get tired of these.
Organic Berries
5 points+ for everything including my German Chocolate Coconut Coffee.
4 hours later, I was ready for a snack ~ I had a banana and a perfectly hard boiled egg.
Do you all remember last year when the folks at Weight Watcher’s came out with the Fresh Meals?! Well, they have updated the line to add 5 new flavors and sent them to me to try.
All 5 new Fresh Meal flavors can be found in the fridge section at your local grocery store. I am usually not a fan of boxed meals, but, I LOVE the idea that their are fresh meals with REAL ingredients.
Today’s choice was Teriyaki Chicken over Brown Rice.
REAL!!
6 points+ for the entire box.
I have to admit I had visions of this HUGE bowl of rice with grilled teriyaki chicken like you would get at a Japanese Food place ~ ok, maybe that was wishful thinking
The flavor wasn’t bad and I like that they grilled their chicken which made it taste smoky.
Served up with a salad topped with Won Ton Crispies & 1 Tbsp Newman’s Lite Lime (2 points+).
Mid-afternoon I reminded myself why I ALWAYS measure out my nuts and take them in a separate container versus bringing the entire can with me……
I portioned out 2 points+ worth, then, went back for 2 more points+ twice. The funny party is I totally made my tongue all funky from the vinegar on the Salt & Vinegar almonds but it didn’t stop me LOL.
When I walked in the door, The Husband had dinner on the table! He turned the Kale, White Bean & Kielbasa recipe into one delicious 4 points+ Slow Cooker Soup Recipe……Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing this recipe soon too!
Simple side salads topped with 1 Tbsp TJ’s LF Spicy Peanut Vinaigrette (1 points+)
I did it with time to spare!!! Catch up with you all tomorrow!
Funny when I worked last sunday (at WW) we were talking about those meals. None of us have ever seen them and we work for them!! LOL guess we don’t have em down here.. I made the Chile Steak tacos in the crockpot from the new cookbook. It was delish!
you know…I have never even seen those meals around here…maybe they have them at at Walmart. I like the low points and sometimes, you do need a quick convenience food…this would do the trick. Maybe the will make it to the East coast this time around.
I totes am the same way- I have to portion out my nuts [and nut butters] or else I’ll eat the whole jar!
The slow cooker soup sounds great! I can’t wait to see the recipe!!
I tried your slow cooker steel cut oatmeal recipe. I’m not a huge fan of steel cut oats normally, but I really, really like how it turned out in the crock pot. I didn’t cook it as long as your recipe called for, so there would be some liquid and the oatmeal wouldn’t overcook during reheating – which did work great. I was surprised how well this turned out! This really lends itself to all sorts of variation with different fruits. I divided it up in my containers and many have been put in the freezer for future breakfasts. Thanks for sharing!
And darn you!!!! I’m now hooked on those vinegar & salt almonds!!!! LOVE!!!!!!
Can’t wait for the Slow Cooker Soup recipe!! Looks yummy!
