Happy Friday all! I am busy tonight prepping for our weekend of fun celebrating my sister’s birthday, gold panning, cherry picking and more. I wanted to pop in to share a few highlights from my trip to the winery yesterday. It was an amazing day with our first unofficial summer BBQ!
I really love the new patio furniture.
The couches might be my favorite pieces. The covers are weather proof and totally inviting to lounge in with a glass of wine, cheese, nuts, olives, bread…..
Waiting for the BBQ – they had no idea I slyly snapped their picture with my phone. I couldn’t help it – they seriously look like an ad for the furniture š
This is one of the views from the deck surrounding theĀ Geyser PeakĀ WineryĀ tasting room.
My two favorite things at the BBQ. The chicken…OMG, it was so good! It’s marinated in Newman’s Balsamic Vinaigrette overnight, grilled and brushed with Kinders Organic BBQ sauce then steamed with Sauvignon Blanc as it is kept warm.
I promise I had nothing to do with this salad but it might be my favorite Taylor Farms yet. It’s the organic Mediterranean chopped salad. I even didn’t mind the feta.
My plate…. homemade garlic bread is like crack to me but I’m proud I only ate 1 1/2 pieces. Yep, I totally went back for more salad and a little chicken too.
Dessert was a Triple Chocolate Tawny Port Brownie Sundae. I took one bite to taste it and gave the rest to my skinny coworker to devour. I could’ve easily eaten about 3 plates of those brownies.
I was lucky enough after lunch to have one of my meetings as a walking meeting down this vineyard road. Here are a few snaps I took along the way including a Rose garden at the end.
I’m off to finish up my sister’s cake…..it’s currently all snuggly and cooling in this towel. Any guesses on what it is?
Have a great weekend all – I will catch up with you all later.
