I think that summer is officially here….well, maybe! Today was a beautiful day that was actually “hot” in the 80’s! Although my body is crazy sore from Les Mills Body Pump, I still met my sis for a nice long run walk.
We did a little more walking than usual, but, finished a strong 7 miles ~ woohoo! I tried out Run Star today on my Droid and I have to say I still LOVE Cardio Trainer better.
Before heading out the door, I had a banana with a slice of almond butter toast. (5 pts).
After our run, we headed out to the Farmer’s Market where I still scored some good stuff even though there just isn’t much out yet.
I was OH SO EXCITED when I saw the Blueberry people ~ there seriously is nothing like freshly grown and picked blueberries! Crunchy, sweet, mmmmm!
We both wanted something light and fresh so we headed over to Panera for lunch. I LOVE that they have a nutritional calculator that you can pick/choose what you ordered and sub ingredients. Click HERE to check it out.
I picked the “You Pick Two”. I started off with half a tomato basil salad with RF Balsamic.
Then, half a SPICY Cuban Chicken Panini with an apple I didn’t eat. WOW…my salad ~ this sandwich were AMAZING. I want to go back soon to get this all over again. I estimate it all came in around 11 points.
“All-natural, antibiotic-free chicken, smoked, lean ham, sweet & spicy pickle chips, Swiss, chipotle mayo & sun-dried tomato ale mustard on our Focaccia.”
After lunch we did a little shopping at the Factory outlets. I scored some Sports Beans and Flops at the Jelly Belly Outlet. I LOVE Belly Flops because they are BIGGER and BETTER than the perfect Jelly Bellies 😉
Plus 3 mini free samples 😀
When I got home, I had a fun package waiting from Fiber Gourmet! I have really been wanting to try their pasta because TJ always raves about how awesome it is. Plus the stats are seriously Fiberrific LOL. Reviews coming soon…
My mid afternoon snack was a grande mocha lite frappucino that The Husband brought me. It somehow escaped the camera. (2 pts!)
Dinner was FAST and involved this pre-marinated Bill Bailey’s Carne Asada that we picked up at Sam’s Club.
I LOVE lean meats that are 1 point for each ounce. 4 oz = 4 pts!
This cooks up so fast because the meat is sliced so thin ~ 15 minutes on the grill and it was done. I made up an Avocado Pico De Gallo while the meat cooked.
I had 3 Carne Asada Tacos with 4 oz carne asada, 1/4 c Finely Shredded Sharp Cheese, 3 corn tortillas and avocado pico de gallo (10 pts).
I did snack on a little watermelon/cantaloupe while dinner cooked (1 pt).
FUN FACTS
* All the goodies I received yesterday were part of my order from Iherb! I will explain them in more detail this week along with an IHERB giveaway!!!
* I took all of today’s pictures using my DROID except the 1st one. Kind of impressive huh?! Maybe I should just use my phone more often LOL….If only I could figure out an easy way to download them to the computer.
* My Body Bugg shows 3,476 calories & 18,566 steps so far and the day isn’t over yet 😀
2 days left in our LONG WEEKEND ~ LOVE it!
Night all!
“My Body Bugg shows 3,476 calories & 18,566 steps so far and the day isn’t over yet ”
That is seriously impressive. You go, Danica!
Love al the pics! Fiberrific!!! Lol I was feelin good about my pool calories burned, until I started reading blogs and seeing those HIGH numbers!! WOW you were on fire! Great job! Never had that salad or sand. At Panera-looks good too! 🙂
That panini from Panera looks AMAZING – i’ll have to try it sometime!
<3 Sherry
the pictures aren’t bad at all! my cell phone pictures aren’t too bad either, and it’s 2 MP!
cool that your body bugg calculates your steps. i have a pedometer and with work it’s insane the number of steps i take! with my 2.2ft short stride! lol!
have a great rest of your weekend!
Looks like an awesome day!! I’ve never been to Panera, but there is one just up the street. I’ve only heard good things about it!!
The framer’s market in summer is the best! I can’t wait for fresh big peaches. Sounds like a great day. And that carne asada — holy yum!!!
Hey Danica! Didn’t know if you wanted to participate in my 101 days of summer challenge or not – I am posting my participants page tomorrow sometime. Just send me your goals at bdl319@gmail.com – great walk today too! 😀
Great farmers market produce. I love my Droid, it is great for taking pictures when I don’t have my camera!!!
Wow, the Droid takes some awesome pictures–who knew!?
And who knew Panera had a Cuban Panini?? I absolutely love those and went to Panera on Saturday but was breakfast time so I didn’t even bother to look at the lunch menu.
Hope you’re having a great end of the wknd!
Panera’s pick two is perfect…I always get that and try to get something new. Their salads and paninis are terrific. Love those sport beans too!
Hi TJ,
I wear my Body Bugg ALL Day, not just during exercise so that is my calorie burn for the entire day. I WISH I could burn that much in a single workout – I’d be super fit then huh?! LOL You are doing awesome with your 400+ calories burned in the pool – that is REALLY good!
Danica
I love Panera! I can’t eat there very often because the things I usually like to order are not all that healthy – the broccoli cheese soup and one of the other paninis whose name I cannot remember right now. I’ve tried several of the toasted sandwiches, and they’ve all been good!
Do you like your Body Bugg? I read about it once but wasn’t sure if it had good reviews so I’m curious about how you like yours!
Hi Liz,
I was realizing that as I looked at their menu too – there is a lot of not so bueno things I wanted too! I think I did ok with my selection 🙂
I really, really do LOVE my body bugg. Here is a post I did awhile back about it. If you have specific questions or what not, let me know. It’s one of the best motivators to get moving, burn more and boost my steps that I’ve ever owned.
