Happy Sunday all! I think today was the culmination of all the go-go-going we have been doing this past week. After heading over to our Weight Watchers meeting (losing .6 lbs!) and one of The Husband’s quarterly meetings, we did absolutely nothing but watch TV, read and relax.
This morning I couldn’t wait to get up, go to my Weight Watchers meeting and head home just so I could dive into these new Peet’s Coffee K-Cups that I received.
How many of you knew that Peet’s made K-Cups now? Ok, but, how many of you knew it took them 5 years to perfect the perfect cup?
Pretty cool, right? I actually love that each flavor has the story of the blend on the box.
Major Dickason’s Blend is all about the first store in Berkeley, Ca.
While Café Domingo is all about their Café Culture. So fun!
The one thing these two cups have in common ~ delicious coffee store coffee that you can now brew at home in your Keurig. You can find all 11 varieties on their website or at your local Peet’s store.
These might just be my new flavors of the moment.
I grabbed a banana as we headed out the door on our way to the next meeting.
Total Lunchtime success! The meeting we had to attend was at Round Table Pizza where they ordered extra large pizzas for everyone. Instead of having pizza, I hit up the salad bar and opted for a few “treat” like toppings to make my salad seem like more than a salad.
Romaine, cabbage, bell peppers, carrots, tomatoes, pepperoncini’s, 1 Tbsp. Sunflower Seeds, 1 Tsp. bacon bits, 1 scoop croutons, a hard boiled egg for protein staying power and real deal ranch on the side fork dipped (about 1 Tbsp.) 7 points+ (SF + 4 WPA)
Midafternoon I snacked on fruit while reading and watching TV (yep, I rarely do just one thing). I also went back for a bowl of watermelon too!
I had originally planned making a delicious dinner using these big heirloom tomatoes I bought at the market.
But, when it came down to The Husband wanted BFD (Breakfast for Dinner) and I didn’t want to really “cook”.
He picked ~ scrambled eggs….2 points+ (SF)
and bacon aka Trader Joe’s Peppered Turkey Bacon 2 points+ (SF + 2 WPA)
And I picked “Fried” potatoes, peppers and onions! 4 points+ (SF)
BFD is probably my favorite Simply Filling go to meal because you get to have “fried potatoes” and have it be 100% Simply Filling.
STATS:
- Daily points: 16 points+, 0 WPA used, 49 WPA remaining (I ate today based on my hunger levels and I just wasn’t that hungry today….I am sure tomorrow will be the exact opposite).
- Simply Filing: 6 WPA used, 43 WPA remaining
I am going to build this week’s menu based on what I pick up at the market on Tuesday. So far I know I am making:
- Baked Cheesy Caprese Pasta, salad
- Sliders 3 ways ~ BBQ Pork, Spicy Beef & Veggie with watermelon tomato salad
- Shrimp Scampi, green bean salad
- Burgers without a Bun, grilled squash
Off to catch some zzzz’s!
Night all!

Hi Gail,
Thanks for letting me know. Here is the link to the recipe I used to make the Burgers without a bun. I’ll have to update that link on the post.

I just found this site and I wanted to say how wonderful it is. I want to lose some of my weight and this is the perfect site for me. It lets me know what I can eat and takes all the guess work out of it. Thank you so much
