Happy Wednesday all! Thanks for sharing all your tater topping ideas on yesterday’s post. For the past two years I have been obsessed with all things sweet potato and butternut squash related – in particular ~ any “fry” or nacho version! I think one recipe I have on my list to eventually try making is homemade Sweet Potato Tater Tots…..
This morning I was rushing out the door to catch the train so breakfast and coffee were taken on the go (along with my makeup and wet hair again LOL). One day, I will learn to give myself enough time to actually get ready before I head out the door…..maybe…..but, then, I’d probably just find another way to make myself late by getting distracting.
Do you ever find yourself looking for images in your food? When I cut up my banana and placed it on my Bran Flakes Cereal, I thought ~ Look my cereal is smiling at me! (SF) – 5 points+
The Husband earned major brownie points this morning making up my entire breakfast, lunch and snack bag. It was pretty cute how much stuff he packed into my super cool lunch bag.
Then as my day unveiled, I ended up having to trade in my lunch for a business luncheon that came up at the last minute at the Rio City Cafe. The good thing is that I have lunch all packed for tomorrow.
I was super tempted to get the Kobe Beef Burger with Rosemary Fries that everyone was ordering, but, I stuck to the plan and got a Cobb Salad.
My salad was so fantastic I didn’t feel deprived at all ~ I really think the smoked chicken, salty manchego (it’s like parmesan), tart cherries and nutty sunflower seeds made this salad amazing.
Local Romaine lettuce, dried cherries smoked chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, bacon, manchego cheese, sunflower seeds and creamy herb Italian dressing on the side.
Simply Filling + 4 WPA for the cherries, sunflower seeds, cheese and dressing. 8 points+
On our way back to the office, we stopped for Grande Iced Nonfat Lattes at Starbuck’s.

The Husband was supposed to pick me up after work to head up to play bingo with my Mom & Sis to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. There was only one “glitch” in our plan in that the battery gave out in his work van and we were both stuck at our jobs.
I had the chance to get my walk on even more for the day and hoofed it over to Light Rail ~ it’s crazy that it dropped me off almost right in front of the Bingo Hall.
The Husband ended up meeting us there about an hour later and then proceeded to win the biggest jackpot of the night ~ $1,199!!! I bought his ticket and chose the wrong one to play
My Mom had us both totally laughing out loud with the Dobber she got ~ It says Scooter!!!
My Sister rocks because she picked us all up Jack’s Urban Eats Salads!
In the mix – (SF + 3 WPA for the walnuts and dressing) 8 points+:
- Mixed Greens
- Cherry tomatoes
- Pepperoncini’s
- Grapes
- Pickled Red Onions
- Kidney/Garbanzo Beans
- 1 Tbsp chopped walnuts

Bingo is STRESSFUL ~ they read those numbers off soooo fast lol. But, we had fun….I picked out watermelon at the Café for my dessert – Success!

- 2,674 calories burned
- 10,616 steps taken

Danica, dont know if you have talked about this already?
But, are steel oats considered SF? Steel oats dont come up as a SF food in the WW database. I prefer steel cut oats over oatmeal, since Ive discovered your crockpot recipe with Steel cut oats and fruit! Do you know the difference? Thanks for any help you can provide 🙂
DanicasDaily says
Hi Carla,
Steel Cut Oats are unrefined Oatmeal (with oatmeal being the oat seed processed to be flat and to help it cook faster) so in my book they count as Simply Filling under Oatmeal. I use this list as a general guide over the power food green triangles because I have noticed they sometimes miss marking things as power foods on the online tracker. If it is not specifically called out as something you cannot have and if it falls into a similar category, I count it as Simply Filling.

In this case – steel cut oats = oatmeal = Simply Filling. I definitely prefer the texture of Steel Cut Oats too.
