Burger, Burger, Burger….

September 13, 2010 by DanicasDaily 11 Comments

Happy Monday all!  I am going to “fly by” doing this post as quick as I can because The Bachelor Pad Finale is about to start ~ wooohooo!  Who are you rooting for?

Breakfast today was super crunchy and sorta fun to eat.  I actually kinda “dig” eating cucumber slices for breakfast for my quick 1/2 cup of veggies ~ they are light, refreshing and crunchy.

Cucumber Slices

Trader Joe’s 97% Fat Free Turkey Bacon (2 pts)

Turkey Bacon

I combined this with a grande iced nonfat decaf latte (2 pts)  Weird combo, but, it was completely filling.

Crunchy Breakfast

Mid-morning snack (1 pt)

String Cheese

Can you tell yet that I was rushing out the door again? Lunch started with a simple salad with Newman’s Own Light Lime Vinaigrette (1 pt).

Simple Romaine Salad

Plus “s’more” Chipotle Chicken & Chickpea Soup (7 pts)

Spicy Chicken Soup

This afternoon I snacked on HOT & Spicy Peanuts (20 for 2 pts).

Hot & Spicy Peanuts

Last night’s dinner was SO AWESOME that I decided NEEDED to re-create it. :D  That and maybe the fact that I was STILL thinking burger, burger, burger ;).  It doesn’t look as pretty, but, it was pretty tasty.

Lettuce Cheeseburger

96% Lean Ground Beef Burger sprinkled with garlic salt & Black Pepper

Light Cheddar

Homemade Ketchup

Heirloom Tomato Slice

Romaine

For my TWO CUPS of veggies I decided to go for crunchy things I could dip in my delicious homemade ketchup 😀

Homemade Ketchup

Grilled Green Beans x’s 2 (sprinkled with a little EVOO, Sea Salt & Black Pepper)

Grilled Green Beans

Parmesan Kale Chips ~ It’s been too long!

Parmesan Kale Chips

All together, dinner was 9 points and totally hit the spot.

Ok, I promise, tomorrow I am moving on from burgers…..

Off to finish watching the finale!  As much as I LOVE Tenley/Kipton, I think I am kinda rooting for Natalie/David because she is hilarious 😀

Night all!

I watched the bachelor pad but I really think it’s so dumb.

But I watch it b/c the girl Nikki went to HS with me. She was in the grade below mine but I think we had a computer class together once and probably lunch or something. I didn’t like her then and I don’t like her now! lol. But it was funny to see someone you know on there.

I love cucumbers! I’ve been known to eat a couple of them in one sitting. I like the pickled, salted, dipped and plain:)

    HI Gigi,

I LOVE Turkey Bacon! When you cook it in the microwave it gets really crunchy and crisp. I think it does taste like the real deal and often my husband (who only eats real bacon) can’t even tell that it’s turkey bacon. I do think it has a bit of turkey bacon taste, but, I think you will like it if you love bacon too 🙂

Do tell if you try it and like it. I’d love to hear if my taste buds described it right 🙂
