Our last “planned” stop was at St. Kitts and the coolest part was it was the day we celebrated our anniversary AND Thanksgiving! We had both heard great things about St. Kitts and had almost picked this island to stay at versus our cruise. St. Kitts has a little bit of everything on their island from the tropical trees to amazing beaches. We LOVED it too!
View from the ship while we waited to disembark.
We decided to stay pretty low key for our trip and took a tour of the island on a bus. I LOVE all the brick buildings and the way the islanders use bricks and rocks.
Cool rock garden! Mom, this is a garden I can probably keep alive 😀
Middle Island Anglican Church
We stopped at this tourist spot where they hand make all sorts of stuff using a special weaving process. They make things out of cotton, banana leaves, etc.
The grounds were beautiful. I LOVED this little chair and all the trees.
Who knew cactuses grew in the Caribbean.
I think this tree totally looks like an elephant.
More of the red fruits that grow randomly on coconut trees. I STILL do not know what they are 🙂
This is their national tree called a Bread Fruit tree.
While we were waiting for our bus driver, we saw a TON of caterpillars climbing all over the flowers. They were HUGE!
The second place we stopped was Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park.
We hiked up these fun steps to the top….
Then, crossed this bridge to check out the fortress.
The only “guard” watching out over the fortress now 🙂
Amazing views!
When we returned we did some shopping then returned to the ship to celebrate our anniversary at Cagney’s Steak House on the ship. More on that in my next recap of the ship and Miami!
Be sure to check back tomorrow for a GIVEAWAY!!!! I will also start food blogging again with my NEW challenge to be revealed tomorrow along with recipes – yeah!
Off to finish watching THE BIGGEST LOSER FINALE – YAHOOO!!! I LOVE that show but am completely sad it will be over after tonight 🙁 until next season.
For those who watch ~ who are you rooting for to win and what did you think of the finale?
Nite all!

Gorgeous photos! It looks like you had an amazing time on your trip. Aren’t tropical plants amazing? Living in Miami, I get to see most of that stuff all the time so I’m spoiled. Those red fruits on the coconut palm are a type of seed that the tree produces, but I don’t think they are edible (birds love them though). That fortress looks so awesome!

Very cool pictures! Looks like a nice island.
As for Biggest Loser, I am soooo happy with the outcome of the entire show, both winners. Not sure if you have seen it yet so I don’t want to spoil. We actually had like 10 power outages last night, each while trying to DVR and watch the show. Somehow I was lucky enough to catch almost all of it minus 2 minutes WOW

Aww what a gorgeous vacation! We spent 3 weeks in Aruba 18 months ago. This trip looks absolutely fabulous! How was the food on the islands?
I just watched BL this morning/afternoon while on the treadmill. I figured I better watch it now before I found out who won it. Danny looked great. Everyone did, really. I felt like a proud mama hen.

Danica,
Thank you so much for posting this journal with pictures. My husband and I leave in 36 hours for the exact same tour and your ship. Let’s hope the ship’s been fixed.
Your journal and pictures were a big help……so much better than the promos from the ship.
We also looked at your lovely wedding pictures. You are a beautiful young woman and you two make a great looking couple. Best wishes on your future, together.
