Cute Cakes

April 13, 2010 by DanicasDaily 17 Comments

Happy Biggest Loser Day all!!  All I really wanted for breakfast today was fruit salad.  But, I know that I need a little protein to at breakfast or I am starving ALL DAY long.

I decided that 1/2 cup TJ’s Fat Free Cottage Cheese topped with a sprinkle of almond slices (healthy fat – 1/2 Tbsp) would go perfectly with my fruit. (2 pts)

Then, I went to town on the fruit ~ I wish I thought to add grapes too!

IMG_2549

1 small pear

1 small banana

1 cutie

1/2 Tbsp Almond Slices

Delicious!  It completely made me want the FARMER’s MARKETs to open already (3.5 pts)

Mid morning I decided it was time to bring a little Ak Mak Sesame Crackers back into my life.  I LOVE these crackers ~ they are light, crispy and toasted sesame tasting.

The best part is you get 5 for 2 points and they are BIG!  I topped mine with 2 Tbsp Alouette Garden Vegetable Cheese Spread.

So you all know how I am always sharing my Healthy Science Projects with my co-worker.  Well, today, she decided to “cook” for me by treating me to TR2 ~ Taqueria Rosita 2.

I LOVE their redesigned menus because seriously their Mexican food is KILLER! (dude 😉 ) LOL

I had 12 tortilla chips that I broke into little pieces with like ALL the salsa and then some 😉

IMG_2569

Then, I moved onto TWO AMAZING Spicy Chicken Tacos ~ Mexican Style which means with guacamole & hot sauce.  I added more salsa too…you can NEVER have enough (8 pts)

IMG_2574

I had a couple bites of rice and beans, but, I was perfectly full so I stopped.

Thanks, Sandy ~ You can cook REALLY good too 😀

IMG_2571

I had BIG “work” responsibilities in the afternoon as the Camera Person for our Surprise Double Baby Shower.

How cute are these cakes and crowns?!  This one was white cake with strawberry filling.

IMG_2582

This one was chocolate cake with banana filling.

IMG_2581

I took a million pictures, but, I had to share their two super cute Diaper Cakes ~ I LOVE this idea and they turned out so professional looking 🙂

IMG_2593IMG_2592

Ya, sometimes you have the cake, sometimes you don’t.  If you are me, you eat all the whipped cream frosting and filling, but, leave the cake 😀

IMG_2659

Believe it or not, I was STILL full come dinner time. Luckily The Husband said he wanted grilled cheese and TJ’s Roasted Red Pepper Soup.  I LOVE him on days like this where I don’t have to cook!

So, I was LAZY and had a Pepper Jack grilled cheese. (5 pts)

IMG_2670

2 slices TJ’s Fat Free Multi-Grain Bread

2 tsp I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter

1/4 c TJ’s Shredded Pepperjack Cheese

After dinner, I made up lunch for tomorrow.  You all have to check back tomorrow to find out what it is, but, here is a picture of everything before I mixed it together.

ANY GUESSES???

This coming Saturday the 17th is the BAY AREA BLOGGER MEET UP! I have sent out emails to confirm with everyone. We need to give the final head count to Metro restaurant in Lafayette by Friday the 16th so please confirm back if you want in on the action. Looking forward to meeting everyone! 🙂

Time to indulge in the rest of BIGGEST LOSER!!!  I freakin’ LOVE that they all dumped Jillian and Bob in the MUDD…Jillian is SOOO jaded over it 😀

Night all!

Haha, that’s funny because I usually eat the cake and leave the frosting! But you’re definitely right….sometimes you just have to have cake! 🙂

Grilled cheese is the best meal to make when you are too lazy to cook. I actually was thinking of making one tomorrow when I know I have a very long day ahead of me and I will not be in the mood to cook when I get home.

    Have a great day!

Danica! We would make THE perfect cake eating team! hahah I would eat all your leftovers…that’s my favorite part of the cake. The spongy, soft, creamless cakey bits. YUM!!! The diaper cake is sooo cute. I think i saw a lady on food network who owns and actually designs those cakes in her home kitchen! I was in AWE!!!!
