Hi all! I am a bit behind in my Daily Chilean Snaps as it’s been a busy couple of days but I’m about to get caught up over the next few days. Monday was an office day in Santiago. This was my view for the day when I wasn’t looking at the overhead monitor while everyone talked.
Breakfast was a little different with fried rice, stir fried veggies, vegetable tortilla, a roll and fruit. I made up for it with an iced nonfat latte with caramel on top.
My coworker s treated me to lunch at Bravo! I was totally tempted to get a Shrimp Caesar when my coworker asked me, Why would you order something you can get back home? I like the way they think! So, I ventured out to the Peruvian dish I know I like called Lomo Saltado. It’s a Stirfry of beef sauteed with tomato and two types of onions. I love their idea of side – rice & Pappas Fritas! I did have a sin grasa (nonfat) cappuccino for dessert.
The Husband picked dinner on Food Boulevard at Tony Roma’s. Our waiter was awesome – he brought us a Pisco Sour (Chile’s National drink) on the house because we were American and he said we had to try it. It was refreshing…Like a margarita. We shared their Fire Shrimp, not spicy by my standards and I got the Summer BBQ Chicken salad to balance out my day. I used olive and vinegar that comes on every table instead of the ranch.
I’ll catch up with you all tomorrow with my winery trip recap.
Night all!
