Happy Monday all! I was up early checking off my to-do list before heading out to meet my friend for a long hike, lunch and a bit of shopping. I felt so accomplished organizing our pantry and freezers but also laughed at how many jars/cans we have duplicates of. The Husband always picks up spaghetti sauce and I seem to like broth and beans lol. My goal is to “try” to build meals around what we have versus always buying something new. It’s good to have aspirations, right?!
My friend picked the trail and followed up with “I usually go a minimum of 5 miles.” I said, sure, no problem, I’ve got this! Umm, like I said above, it’s good to have aspirations. Actually it wasn’t bad at all as we chatted the entire way and I only huffed/puffed a few times. I did not realize that I had not taken very many pictures until now so you’ll have to use your imagination.
The first picture was halfway up the hill looking down at the city and the second was the “lake” Midway up the second hill. Everything is so dry now but turns very green in the spring. 5 miles later, we were ready for lunch then a bit of shopping to get in more steps.Daily Snap Recap:

One other thing I’m proud of….no Starbucks today. I missed it but still enjoyed coffee at home.
In my head, I can totally go out and hike like that tomorrow. Let’s see what my legs say in the AM.
Night all!
I have a 20 year addiction to coffee mate that I am struggling to unload. I’m always reading about your skim milk cappuccinos with caramel drizzle that make my mouth water and looks like a possible way for me to segue from coffee mate. Do you know of a home made way to make this? Our nearest Starbucks is across town but I really would like to try.
Keep up the good work, I always enjoy your posts and find them inspiring in y journey toward weight loss. 🙂
