Happy Friday Eve all! This mornings breakfast was awesome, lunch was an ok salad and dinner was tasty but has me wondering what you all do. Do you pick a meal for the flavor aka mouth satisfaction or because it’s filling and will stick with you awhile?
I’d like to think 9 times out of 10 I pick the best of both – foods I love/crave but that also keep me full for awhile. Tonight we stopped at Chipotle on our way out of town and I mixed up my usual salad because honestly I was starving and needed something to fill me up.
The corn salsa is 3 SmartPoints and the pinto beans are also 3 SmartPoints. Obviously beans stay with you longer but I love the sweet bursts of the corn salsa in my salty chicken bowl (unlike The Husband where corn doesn’t belong in any foods lol). The thing is I know on hungry days, this isn’t enough. I went with the beans tonight and it satisfied me but I felt like they were so plain in comparison. In the end, it kept me away from guacamole and chips (massive success) and from eating more later….So perhaps some days you need to pick filling over flavor.
