Daily Snap: Power Through It

Happy Tuesday all! Do you know I was about to type Wednesday? Wishful thinking no doubt as I can’t wait for the long weekend. This morning I couldn’t wait to try this new Oroweat Granola bread I bought that’s 2 Smartpoints a slice. I wanted to like it more than I did and I’m not sure why I was surprised that well it tastes like granola lol. I think it’s the brown sugar sweetness that threw me a bit.

Lunch….oh, how I adore Mini Mango on Main in Napa and I probably go way too often as the owners always tell me “See you tomorrow” whenever I leave. My coworker told me this morning she owed me lunch and a Starbucks so we were heading to Thai today. I know, she’s awesome and what makes her even better – she shares with me so I get to try bites of everything I want. She also doesn’t mind that I make her hoof it (aka walk) walk to lunch so I get in my steps.

I ended up working late but I’m proud I waited until I was hungry to dive into my healthy snacks. I was so tempted and tired when I got home that I almost said yes to The Husband saying let’s get take out. I reminded myself that it would take more time to do that then to just power through it and cook dinner. The reward – not only a deliciously healthy dinner, but, feeling proud I stayed on track.

Daily Snap Recap:

B: 1 piece Oroweat Granola Bread (2 sp) topped with 1/2 Tbsp Land O Lakes Whipped Butter (1 sp) and a Fried Egg (2 sp), 1/2 Mandarin

S: Grande iced Nonfat Latte with caramel on top (3 sp)

L: @ Mini Mango 1 svg papaya salad (0 sp), 2 Shrimp 8 Elements Lettuce Wraps (1 sp), 1/3 cup rice (2 sp), 1/2 cup Emerald Coconut Chicken & Veggie Curry (4 sp), 1 cup See Ew noodles (5 sp)

Dessert: Grande iced dirty Americano (1 sp)

S2: 1 cup cherries, Trader Joe’s Lite String Cheese (2 sp)

S2: on the drive home – 1 1/2 cups watermelon

D: 3 oz Grilled Pork Chop (3 sp), Corn Cob (3 sp) 1 cup tossed salad with evoo & balsamic (1 sp)

30 Daily Smartpoints, 16K steps – which included a nice 1 hour walk
