Fast!

August 22, 2012 by DanicasDaily 8 Comments

Happy Wednesday all!  I absolutely LOVE that you all are as crazy about Biscoff as I am.  The Husband doesn’t really get excited over my cookie spread so it’s nice to know that I am not alone in my addiction lol.

This morning I was reluctantly up early after not really sleeping too well the past last night just so I could get on the treadmill and check off my runner girl activity box.  I knew that I would be tired either way so I might as well get my run on.

I hopped on the treadmill and rocked a FAST 30 minute jog/walk. I played a few “Treadmill Games” each time I wanted to stop….changing the speed up every 30 seconds so that I focused on the seconds to the next level, not how far the distance was that I needed to go.

Little did I know that my “fast” run would represent how my day would go.  I grabbed a banana and some Macadamia Nut Cookie Coffee by Gloria Jean (my new fav) as I got ready.

I did not have a chance to eat breakfast all morning since I pretty much hit the ground running as soon as I walked in the door.

I managed to grab a pluot and light string cheese on my way out the door for my lunchtime off site meeting (SF) – 1 points+

Today was so busy that I felt like I had meetings on top of meetings if that is possible Open-mouthed smile  I did not have a chance to eat lunch until a little past 2 pm ~ 7 hours past my banana time.

Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with carrots, celery, oranges, 1 Tbsp almond slices on top of spinach with fat free sesame ginger dressing on the side.

Crunchy, salty, sweet, satisfying even when you are starving (SF + 1 WPA) – 5 points+

Plus a big bowl of watermelon for dessert.

The Husband completely surprised me by having dinner ready as soon as I walked in the door.

BBQ Pork “Ribs” ~ pork loin cut into rib shapes (SF) – 4 oz – 4 points+

Trader Joe’s 3 Minute Organic Frozen Brown Rice

1 cup Brown Rice that looks green (that means it’s extra healthy, right?! lol) topped with ICBINB spray sea salt and black pepper. (SF) – 5 points+

IMG_1196

Super sweet Farmer’s Market Corn….(SF) – 2 points+

I have actually decided that the yellow/white corn is sweeter than any other variety out there.

He totally earned his Best Husband Ever points+ tonight for making this fast and delicious dinner.

Do you all see all those crunchy cookies inside?!!! Seriously, there are more cookies than spread…..definitely life changing.  I can only buy the creamy Biscoff for Biscoff Lattes…..all other things require crunchy!

1 Tbsp = SF + 2 WPA – 2 points+ ~ I added 2 Biscoff Cookies for 2 points+/WPA.

STATS (12 am – 845 pm)

  • 2,412 calories burned
  • 8,477 steps taken
  • 5 WPA used, 25 WPA remaining (21 daily points+ ~ I might need to go have more Biscoff)

Just TWO more days until the weekend…..but, who is counting Winking smile

Night all!

Danica, (1) If you use pre-grilled chicken breast, which brand do you get, AND how do you use the Biscoff Spread in a latte? Thanks, and have a great day!

      Hi Nancy,

The chicken is just marinated in teriyaki sauce and grilled – it isn’t pre-grilled, but, that is a fantastic idea. I have made up a bunch before, pre-grilled them and froze them to make my life easier when I do not feel like cooking.

To make a Biscoff Latte, order a normal decaf latte (hot) and stir in 1-2 Tbsp of the Biscoff Spread for one of the richest, creamiest, cookie lattes you will ever have.

Thanks for all the sharing you do with your various food finds. I had never seen a pluot in the store until recently and I didn’t know what they were. I tried them based on your recommendation and love them! I appreciate all of your hard work on your blog.

      Hi Diana,

I currently use a Body Media Device, you might hear me refer to it as my BM….bad abbreviation. I switched to it after using a Body Bugg for about 4 years and I absolutely love it. I plan on doing a comparison post of Body Bugg, Body Media (both made by the same company) and Active Link (now being sold at Weight Watchers) soon.

Here is a link where I talk a little bit about my BM.

Feel free to email and ask any questions you have and I”ll be glad to answer.

      Thanks,

      Danica

I actually had to decide to never ever buy Biscoff Crunchy again since the best way to enjoy it is by the spoonful!! It seemed wasted mixed into oatmeal. >.<

P.s. How do you prepare your corn on the cob? Grilled? Boiled?

      Hi Robin,

I totally agree with you on Biscoff….I originally thought it would be great with bananas or apples but I have yet to eat it any other way than on top of Biscoff cookies or off a spoon.

I almost always grill my corn. I peel the husks off, spray it with ICBINB spray or butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Wrap it in foil and grill for about 20 minutes.
