Guacalicious!

April 1, 2010 by DanicasDaily 17 Comments

Happy Friday Eve all!!!  I owe a special thanks to Ada and Jessie for helping me to understand the meaning of the name of TJ’s new Guacamole ~ Avocado’s Number.  Did you all know it is a spin of off the Avogadro constant?  “Perrin originally proposed the name “Avogadro’s number” (N) to refer to the number of molecules in one gram-molecule of oxygen (exactly 32 grams of oxygen, according to the definitions of the period),[5] and this term is still widely used, especially in introductory works.[9] ”

WOW ~ seriously I think the person who named their guacamole is too smart to be making guacamole….And here I thought they just left the #1 off :D  Thanks ladies, I am soooo going to watch for the next person at TJ’s that buys that guacamole so I can tell them what it means! 😉

Breakfast was a FAST 3 point Egg White Which.  I cooked 1/3 c liquid egg whites in the microwave for 1 minute and toasted up 2 slices of TJ’s FF Multi-Grain Bread sprayed with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray.

Fruitiness ~ Banana “Chips” and cuties (2 pts)

IMG_1935

As I was enjoying some AMAZING Starbuck’s Decaf Verona, I caved to a little Holiday Candy.  I typically avoid any and all holiday candy that I can get any time of year.  I do not NEED to buy a chocolate bunny because I can get ChocoLOVE anytime of year.  However, Robin Eggs….they come once a year.  I had a 4 point serving.

IMG_1941

Plus 2 of these Lemon Covered Blueberry Lemon Shortcake Cookies which I probably NEVER need to eat again because they are like crack totally addicting.

IMG_1957

Janetha reminded me that today was NATIONAL SOUR DOUGH BREAD day so I HAD to have a slice of TJ’s Whole Wheat Sour Dough Bread, topped with some AVOCADO’s Number, sea salt & pepper.

IMG_1943

I sliced my bread in half and stuffed it with some Muenster plus 1 1/2 oz each of honey ham and turkey (8 pts) YUM!

IMG_1950

Crunchy peppers on the side that all of my co-workers seemed to think I was weird for eating them straight up like this.  I don’t eat the stems or seeds ~ they are weird for not eating them – they are so sweet, crispy and crunchy! 🙂

IMG_1945

We officially signed our contract today to get Central Heat & Air installed in our house ~ OMG – I am SOOOO HAPPY!!!  Living in our 1940’s house that we are restoring has been awful in the million degree summer heat.  I can’t wait!

After signing our life away, we headed over to help our friends put the finishing touches on their new house.  On the way over I snacked on some TJ’s Lite Kettle Korn (2 pts).  I was nice and actually shared with The Husband.

IMG_1701

After, we all headed over to Chipolte!  Chipolte scared me because their points are high for everything and their portions are HUGE.  However, if you check out CHIPOLTE FAN BEFORE you can, you can make sure you create something that fits into your points budget.  I LOVE how you can add what you are ordering to see how it impacts the nutritionals.

I made a FANTASTIC Burrito Bowl Sans Beans and Rice (saves a TON of points!)

IMG_0473

Romaine

Grilled Chicken

Fajita Vegetables (Peppers and Onions)

Corn Salsa

Tomato Salsa

Hot Salsa :D

A small sprinkle of cheese ~ I told them must a pinch LOL

GUACAMOLE because it’s totally worth ALL the points to me and who can ever get enough Guacaliciousness in their life 🙂

This salad game in at 10 points (not too shabby because it tasted like more).  You can save 3 points by skipping the guacamole, but why would you???

I think if the guac came out to be 500 points, I would still eat every single bite and then probably go back for seconds!!! 🙂

One can NEVER skip the guac at Chipotle! 🙂 I think that’s a rule.

Take care girl. Have a great day!

I’m convinced the burger I had sunday night was the best. All it was was grass-fed meat cooked on the grill, but that’s all it had to be. I’venever ever had one juicier in my life

On toasted bread, I also love to add a bit of red pepper flakes on mine for kick with sea salt – amaze!

Where are those lemon covered shortbread things from? Wait, maybe it’s better I don’t know…

    Hi Quinn,

Ahh – I remember you telling me about the red pepper flakes before – I NEED to try that because I know it would be AMAZING!!!

Those lemon short bread – really, you wanna know…They were at Pete’s Coffee in their Easter section….they are insanely GOOD – I had to have the Robin Eggs so I could get the taste out of my mouth and not eat more 😀 Good justification, right? LOL

Happy Friday ~ you can “almost” eat CHEEESE again!

    Hi TJ,

You know, the only reason I bought it was because they had a SAMPLE of it 😀 LOL As a side note, if you ever want to try something at Trader Joe’s before you buy it, you can just ask them and they open it right there. I’ve done that before I bought some of their almond butter once because I wanted to try it before spending the $$$$. If you don’t like it, they just sample it away….I know it might break your no sample rules though 😀

It really does taste like REAL avocados and not funky like the preservative kind.

    Happy Friday!

You’re right! You can’t have too much guac or avocado. Mmmm! That’s so interesting about the TJ’s name too. I would never have known.

I’m the same way with holiday candy. It has to be something special if I am going to have it. Halloween is the worst because I adore candy corn and it is EVERYWHERE during that time!

Getting central AC was one of the best decisions I made, when I bought my first place. After living in it for one summer, I was miserable. It was both hot and my allergies were awful. As soon as I had AC installed, I was a much happier girl. It’s always good for resale value, too 🙂

I have a question, what are robins eggs? Am I living under a rock, I have never heard of said candy…..

Haha, I remember I first spotted that guacamole at the same time I was taking chemistry. I HAD to buy it, just because I was so excited that I understood the reference. It turned out to be quite a tasty product!
PS I LOVE your zebra plate!

    HI D,

I honestly CANNOT wait for our Central Heat & Air! Robin Eggs are candy covered chocolare malt balls (think like candied covered Whoppers but better).
