Half & Half

April 17, 2012 by DanicasDaily 10 Comments

Happy Tuesday all!  Thanks for all the questions yesterday on My BM Stats.  The thing that makes my Body Media CORE Device so cool is that it monitors and tracks all the calories I burn, steps I take, etc. throughout the day.  The 2,734 calories I burned yesterday were the number of calories I burned from 12 am – 8 pm and also included my 30 minute workout.  I only counted 3 AP for my actual workout and used the other information as a fun way to know what my metabolism is doing throughout the day.  I actually finished my entire day burning over 3,000 calories ~ MOTIVATION!

Today’s stats as a snap shot (12 am – 7 pm) of what it shows on my Body Media online tracker.  I plan on giving all the fun details of everything when I post my review soon.

I have not logged my food in my tracker on here, but, used 26 points+.

This morning I was up at 5 AM and on the treadmill for another 30 minute jog/walk!  I was sleepy started out, but, after, completely energized.

I feel like all of my meals today were Half & Half ~ Half Fruit/Veggies and Half Protein.

I rushed out the door this morning to catch the train, but, not before packing up my Breakfast to-go.

Half Protein ~ A perfectly hard boiled egg & Half Fruit ~ banana berry bowl ( 2 points+).

I actually have my lunch already packed up for tomorrow since I instantly traded it in when my co-worker asked if I wanted to head out to Panda today! Open-mouthed smile

I LOVE Panda Express ~ probably even more now that they have their new Build a Meal Feature.

You can pick and choose whatever items you want to Build Your Meal or Build a Meal Together with your friends, then, share it, print it and of course see all the nutritional information to calculate the points+ value.

My plate started with Half Protein ~ Mushroom Chicken & Kung Pao Chicken.

Half Veggies (instead of Fried Rice or Chow Mein)

IMG_6485

I mix it all together so I have one big sitr fry plate and the veggies get coated with all the flavors.

IMG_6488

I decided I NEEDED a little fried food in my life today and splurged on a chicken egg roll.

All together my entire plate with my egg roll was 14 points+ and worth every single one.

Dessert! (2 points+)

IMG_6427

Dinner involved Half Veggies with AVOCADO on top of Orowheat Oatnut…..

IMG_6499

Half Protein ~ 2 slices Trader Joe’s Peppered Turkey Bacon

IMG_6503

One deliciously nutty, peppery, bacon-y BLTA for 8 points+.

IMG_6495

Served with a side of melon for dessert.

Q’s

Do you ever split your plate half and half or divide up your plate?

Night all!

I love Panda Express just as much as you do.
There’s a Panda Express across the street from my WW center.
I treat myself after meetings a LOT.

Did you watch Biggest Loser? If so, what did you think.
    Have a good day!!

      Hi Yvonne,

I’ve had such good intentions of watching Biggest Loser this season and then I never got around to it. I am still debating if it is worth it to go back and watch or pick up the new season.

What do you think of it? Worth it?

I would pick up with the new season.
This season was just OK, to me, but I LOVE watching Dolvett. LOL!!!

Thank you so very much for all of your meal idea’s it is so refreshing to be able to look at the items and then they get into your brain! Writing them down isn’t the same. Again thanks for all of your help! So far have dropped 14 lbs this time around, in15 weeks! Slow but steady!

I am on my way to Panda Express tomorrow night for a fundraiser for my daughter’s track team. I have an iPhone and I use the notes a lot to note pp values for places we eat often…even for restaurants that are in the WW mobile app…I only list foods that I would likely eat and the smaller menu list seems less overwhelming and super fast! Target even offers nutritional information now so I can share popcorn or nachos with my kids, count my pp, and not feel guilty or get off track!

Ive never gotten into Panda, mainy because they use dark chicken and I hate that. I’m a breast meat girl. So you dont toast your bread for BLT/’s?

      Hi Randi,

You might check out the stir fried entrees at Panda ~ the string bean chicken, kung pao chicken & mushroom chicken is white meat. I do not like dark meat either and I cannot tell in the others if it is. Yes, I do toast the bread for my BLTA’s, but, this is a lighter bread so I think it looks untoasted maybe? LOL.

How do you get the TJ peppered turkey bacon so deliciously crispy looking? Mine is always floppy. 🙁

      Hi Janet,

I always cook my turkey bacon in the microwave. I place 2 paper towels down on a plate and place a single layer of turkey bacon slices, usually 4-5 slices. Then, I top it with another paper towel and cook it for about 1 minute per slice give/take depending on the microwave. If it isn’t crispy enough, then, I cook it another 30 seconds until done.
