Happy Halloween!

October 31, 2013 by DanicasDaily 16 Comments

Happy Pumpkin day all!  I couldn’t resist popping in to say HI ~ I’ve missed you all and share a few snapshots of today’s Halloween fun.  So I have to ask ~ do you all think Halloween should be scary or be fun/cute/happy?  We had this debate all week at work as I think it can be “Happy” (Happy Halloween) and doesn’t have to be scary….but, my co-workers and friends for that matter say….Scary all the way!

Although….I do have to confess that 2010 was my scariest Halloween yet…all the other years, were just like this year….corny, happy and fun!

IMG_7351

Any guesses on what my costume was this year?!

IMG_7330IMG_7331

I love that everyone in my office dressed up

IMG_7353

Got a little corny….

IMG_7358

And a little rowdy…..

IMG_7338

Before we settled down for a delicious Halloween Feast…..

IMG_7310

Complete with creepy wines…..

IMG_7306

That were syphoned through a “blood” IV …or maybe it’s wine runs through our veins Winking smile

IMG_7343

Every year, we always think how fun it will be to carve pumpkins and I think it’s a great idea to make homemade pumpkin seeds….that is, until, I realize how much work it is to do it.

Can you guess who has the “Happy” Pumpkin and who made the “Scary” Pumpkin?

IMG_1783

Yep ~ hers and his…..

IMG_1786

But, honestly, you wouldn’t want to scare away our pumpkin family…..

IMG_7362

Their too cute for that….Plus, their “scarecrow” pumpkin “scares” away any crows or something like that Open-mouthed smile

IMG_7363

I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween ~ I know we have had fun handing out candy to all the kiddos, our neighbors and friends.

This month I think I officially reached my maximum capacity for what I could fit into one day and blogging just didn’t happen ~ sorry I’ve been MIA!  I am hoping November is a better month to balance things out as my days are just not the same when I can’t sit down each night to chat away with you.  I have a bunch of recipes to share with you so you should see those coming up first!

QUESTION OF THE DAY:

Did you dress up for Halloween or make any fun Halloween foods?

Night all!

Yay!! So glad to see you back!! Looking forward to those promised recipes!
I’m all for the fun and cute Halloween, but I have raised 3 boys who love to jump out and scare each other any time of year, so they are in the scarier the better camp. Maybe it’s a gender thing?
Looking forward to more blogs as you are able to fit them in. Thanks for taking time to share your Halloween with all of us!

Happy Halloween! I think it should be scary/fun/goofy as long as everyone is having fun. I don’t think it should ever be too scarey for the kids if your event is kid-centered. We never dress up too scarey at work (college) because the daycare kids come trick-or-treating around to our offices and they are very young (16-months to 4 years). So our witches tend to be of the Glenda sort. 🙂

Danica…I was a Starbucks Barista too for Halloween. Great minds think alike! I couldn’t find a green apron so I used a tan one! Such a fun costume! I got tons of compliments! Where did you get your green apron? Glad to see your post!

    Hi Danica-
I check to see if you have posted on you blog everyday. Glad to see you back. Loved your costume!
I made pumpkin cupcakes, left off the frosting to keep my points down. Husband loved them. Glad he did.
Can’t wait to see what you have in store for for the holiday season.
