Hot Lunch Date ;)

January 26, 2010 by DanicasDaily 15 Comments

Happy Biggest Loser Day!!!  I will be the first to admit I woke up tired, cranky and with a sore back *sigh*  However, my day got brighter when I walked into work and found a surprise from Bernie ~ Annie’s NEW GLUTEN-FREE Cocoa & Vanilla Bunny Cookies!  FUN!  I LOVE that Annie’s is adding Gluten-Free to their line….maybe next they can add VEGAN M&C??? Just saying it would be fun 😉

BEST INGREDIENTS!

IMG_8424

Great stats for being gluten free!

Other Gluten-Free Annie’s Products!

IMG_8426

Breakfast was expensive pointswise but totally worth EVERY bite ~ a 7 point wafflewich!

IMG_8402

2 Kashi Strawberry Flax Protein Waffles

1 Tbsp Nut Barn Crunchy Almond Butter

1 Tbsp Organic Apricot Preserves

1/2 a Banana

WAFFLEWICHES MAKE ME HAPPY!!

IMG_8403

I had the other half of my banana on the side.

IMG_8401

One of my FAVORITE co-workers told me she baked today (which she doesn’t do all too often).  She made a Banana Nut Dark Chocolate Bread.  I was all over having a slice ~ soooo good, nutty, moist and delicious!

IMG_8406

I was all prepared to have my FANTASTIC salad that I prepped over the weekend until The Husband called again.  He is so cute that he misses me when he is not working sooooo I couldn’t say no to MY SUPER HOT DATE when he asked to go to lunch again.  He always makes any day better especially when he dresses up like “Catman”!!!

Catman!!!

We headed to Round Table Pizza for the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.  This is one buffet that doesn’t scare me as much as I LOVE their pizza, I LOVE their salad bar more.

IMG_8407

I pile my veggies high and have my low-fat Italian dressing on the side.

IMG_8408

Don’t worry, I do not have THAT much will power to pass up pizza entirely.  I had a slice of veggie and 1/2 of the ham/pineapple (it was cold :().  The little twisting thing….OMG…..

IMG_8416

Cinnamon + brown sugar+butter+icing+pizza dough = LOVE!!!!  I had the one on my plate and a couple more from The Husband’s pile.  I think I could’ve made a meal out of these since they were all hot and melted in your mouth.

IMG_8420

The Husband cracks me up ~ he makes PIZZA-WICHES!!!  (I made sure to include his “shirt” I got him at Christmas – funny, huh?!)

IMG_8419

It was another great lunch with The Husband, but, I pretty much wasn’t hungry the rest of the day ~ at all.

Since I seem to have a TON of veggies to use up from my crazy veggie buying spree, I made up a batch of Kale Chips for dinner.  Can you believe I ate an entire bunch of Kale?! Ok, in all fairness, it does cook down a bit. ~ 2 pts.

So good ~ I LOVE these, but, actually LOVE the curly Kale more than the flat leave.  It is funner (yes that’s a word) to eat and looks better.

IMG_8454

I also had a low-fat colby cheese to balance it out for 1 pt 🙂

IMG_8316

For those who wanted it, be sure to check out the post before this one ~ I finally posted the NACHO-RIFFIC NACHO RECIPE!

Off to enjoy the rest of The Show….I am so voting for RED to go home, but, I am not sure who I LOVE the most yet.  I cannot wait to see the weigh in ~ I totally think she is a liar….What do you all think?  Who are you voting for?

NIte all!

That’s great that they’re making gluten free goodies! I’ve found out that I have a slight intolerance to gluten and keep on pushing it out of my diet more and more

Yummo for a place that offers a real salad and not the icky iceberg lettuce salads.

Well Annie’s you are just on a roll with awesomeness!

The waffle looks so incredible.. I am just wondering how you stuck to the portion as I would have asked for two plates. Enjoy your day and remember “tomorrow is a new day”.. Keep posting!!

    Foodmakesfunfuel & Jasmine,

Nature’s Path also has a ton of great Gluten Free things. I also found that Whole Foods carries and labels all their gluten free stuff if that helps at all 🙂

    Good luck!
