HI all ~ So I never made it around to posting last night because I was playing with my NEW Droid!!! I LOVED my Blackberry but after my sis told me she can scan a barcode and it gives her the nutritional stats PLUS Weight Watcher Points and puts it in her tracker, I knew I HAD to get it. It even acts like a GARMIN (even though I don’t need one, why not have it if you are going to take your phone with you anyway. The AMAZING folks at Verizon let me swap it out….I am sad now that I don’t have my Blackberry for my Blackberry messenger 🙁 but I am SUPER excited for my NEW phone that has over 10,000 applications FREE 😀 ~ it’s INSANE! Ummm….so yeah, I “NEEDED” to have the newest technology 😉
My Blackberry looked so much cooler on the stove 😉 LOL. Ok….so, let’s get down to business!
Breakfast was everything I was craving. It started with 2 Kashi Strawberry Flax Protein waffles. One topped with Almond Butter & a little apricot preserves.
The other with just creamy almond butter goodness!
Plus a side of blueberries ~ delish!
My mid-morning snack was a Yoplait Triple Berry Delight with blueberries. It’s creamy low-fat berry yogurt topped with low-fat vanilla all just for 100 calories/2 Weight Watcher Points. I LOVED this flavor, it might just be my favorite of all 4 flavors.
At lunchtime I braved Wal*Mart to do the last of my shopping for The Husband’s stocking. The things we do for LOVE ~ it was totally insane so I decided to make the most of my trip by picking up a few frozen things I’ve been wanting to try. You all will be seeing some of these over the next few days plus a TON of frozen veggies 😀
First up was one of Healthy Choice’s All Natural Selections ~ Pumpkin RAVIOLI’s! Those two words alone have had me thinking about this entree for ALONG time 🙁
Decent stats only 6 points!
The main thing that attracted me to wanting to try these was their claim of Natural ingredients which in reality is a buzz term that doesn’t mean ALOT. However, their ingredient list was decent and I can recognize just about everything in there ~ yeah to Healthy Choice for cleaning up their meals to provide REAL ingredients.
It actually doesn’t look bad when you nuke it too. I LOVED the ravioli’s – they had a nice cinnamon taste (think french toast) and were perfectly au dente (surprising, huh?) I am not sure I loved the sauce and the vegetable/apple mix didn’t quite go with the dish.
One of my FAVORITE WW friends has been telling me about these 0 point frozen vegetables that she takes and puts over a baked potato. I think that sounds like an AWESOME idea (even on a sweet potato!) I picked up the Broccoli and Cheese!
Pretty good stats for CHEESY broccoli.
I have to say I was pretty impressed because the broccoli stays totally crunchy just like you made it from fresh. I expected it to be mushy bits but it wasn’t at all. I LOVED these!
I had 2 Cuties for dessert and washed it all down with FIZZY water.
I was initially STILL hungry after eating all of this (another reason I tend to avoid frozen meals). However, it did hold me through the afternoon along with the Cinnabon Cookie my co-worker made (seriously ~ how do you pass up a cookie with THAT description!)
After work both The Husband and I went our separate ways and shopped to our hearts content. I think I can officially say I am ALL done with my shopping!!! Now I have a gazillion things to wrap and bake, but, it’s a start.
We met up for a quick dinner at his favorite diner, MS Tasty, and they totally have my made up entree not on the menu down. LOVE it!
Throw together ALL the veggies they have in the back for me ~ Cabbage, bell pepper, carrots, mushrooms, garlic, pepper, soy sauce = LOVE!
Plus grilled teriyaki chicken bites (The Husband stole 1/2 of these!)
Now if I can only convince them to get brown rice this would be the PERFECT dish :D Still – it’s totally healthy for diner food.
I hope today flies by fast ~ 1.5 days of work left in this year – yahoo!!! Must try to not count the hours, minutes and seconds 🙂
Tonight is going to be a baking, wrapping frenzy. See you all later tonight or tomorrow….soooo busy!
ohhh the bar scan sounds really cool! i love my iphone, obsessed really.
hmm pumpkin ravioli, i actually think that sounds pretty cool…strange because a few years ago no way I would have wanted that!
Droid is the coolest name for a phone.Ever.
GL with wrapping!
What an awesome phone! I’d be playing with it for hours, too 🙂 Those raviolis sound so yummy
I have been hearing about this droid thing everywhere – but I never knew how neat it was – you can scan something and it will give u nutritional stats….what?!?!?!
Those waffles look so perfect and tasty right now! I haven’t had waffles in a while and now I have a super craving!
The pumpkin ravoli is my FAVORITE healthy choice dish. You are so dead on with that cinnamony french toast taste.
I am so jealous that you are done with your xmas shopping. I have barely started
🙁
