I feel like “chicken tonight”…

February 24, 2012 by DanicasDaily 7 Comments

Happy Friday all!  After reading all the ways you all LOVE to top your burgers, I honestly think I NEED to make them again.  I think burgers in all ways are moving up on my list of favorite things.

I decided that my morning NEEDED to start with Starbuck’s ~ it’s been wayyyy too long!

Venti Iced Nonfat Decaf Latte with Caramel Drizzle on top (3 points+) and a banana.

Mid morning I crunched away on some cashews (2 points+)

We had a team building lunch today at a place I have not been to since I was in college (yup, it was THAT long ago Open-mouthed smile)

I actually never knew Original Pete’s served things other than pizza, but, after lunch today, I am totally going back to try everything else.  There are so many good things on their menu.

Midtown Ale Chicken ~ Sautéed onions, mushrooms, and chicken in Ale chicken au-jus served over garlic mashed potatoes with salad.

It was absolutely amazing!  You could totally taste the beer in the onions, mushrooms and herbed chicken. The chicken tasted even better when scooped up with the garlic mashed potatoes.

Since they do not have nutritional information, I broke down the components to estimate the points+ value of my meal.

Chicken with mushrooms & onions (6) , Mashed Potatoes (5), Salad (2)

The rest of today flew by and when I walked in the door, The Husband actually had dinner ready!  He is totally catching on to this cooking thing and I am loving it!

Simple salads……

IMG_4602

Topped with Deb’s Sweet & Saucee Balsamic Vinaigrette (nope, you do NOT taste the stinky cheese, but, you do get hints of pecans and sweet balsamic).

IMG_4605

Nothing but the real deal!

1 points+ per Tablespoon, 3 points+ for 2 Tablespoons.

Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Chicken (5 points+) ~ I NEVER get tired of BBQ chicken!

IMG_4610

1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Rice (3 points+)

IMG_4612

All together with artichoke “chips” dipped in 1 Tbsp RF Mayo (1 points+)

I have a pretty big todo list for this weekend and a few fun things in store for you all ~ a giveaway and some BRUNCH recipes too!

Let the weekend begin!!!
