ICE CREAM for Breakfast!

April 19, 2010 by DanicasDaily 15 Comments

Last night I really, really WANTED to have a Healthy Banana Sundae, but, I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t think I should eat it.  I was proud of me for listening to my body…..but, This morning, it was ON!!!

I scream, you scream, we all SCREAM ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST!!! 😀

IMG_2995

I decided to mix up the recipe a bit and I have to admit the results were phenomenal….Like, out of this world GOOD!

This is how easy it is to make this bowl of deliciousness!

1 large banana, sliced and frozen

3 Large Strawberries Frozen

4 oz TJ’s Low-Fat Organic Banana Yogurt (it made it taste like FROYO!)

Combine it all in your MINI CHOPPER and process until it looks like THIS!

IMG_2996

**NOTE ~ if your fruit is super hard, let it sit out at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before processing.

Creamy, delicious and seriously addictive!  Once you try it, you will want more of it!!!  I was so sad when my bowl was gone, but, I cannot wait to have more.  I have to convince myself to have this only ONCE a day!

4 points for like 2 cups of ICE CREAM ~ I’ll take it!!!

To round out my meal, I added a little protein mountain ~ 3 Egg whites plus a Morning Star Maple Sausage with Sriracha. (3 pts)

The Husband bought me a Tall Fat Free Latte with caramel drizzle for my Mid Morning Snack (2 pts) ~ Woohoo FREE STARBUCK’s makes any Monday better 🙂

I had brought my lunch today, but, after much debate my co-worker & I decided we just HAD to get out for a chat session and to enjoy the sunshine.

Ummmm, ya, we ended up at TR2 again!  I tell you Tacos are seriously the BEST creation in the world, ever?!

IMG_3007

I mean, really, can you ever go wrong with Spicy Chicken Tacos that are topped with GUACAMOLE & HOT SAUCE?!

IMG_3008

I totally want the Cook to show me how to make chicken like this….it has to be the BEST spicy chicken I’ve ever eaten, really! (8 pts)

IMG_3006

OH and, of course, I did have a few chips (10) with like that entire container of salsa 😀 (3 pts)

IMG_7681

Since The Husband is helping his friend out tonight, I didn’t have to cook.  I took everything that I made up yesterday and put it in one big bowl!

IMG_3014

1/2 bunch of Swiss Chard (yup, I ate THAT much LOL)

1/2 c sautéed mushrooms (ns spray, garlic salt, black pepper)

1 heaping cup of my Shells and Balls 4 Meatballs 😉

I LOVE putting my pasta dishes over veggies because honestly it makes it feel like so much more and it really fills you up.  (7 pts)

IMG_3016

Since I have the remote tonight too, I am totally indulging in the Food Network as I flip through my Clean Eating & Weight Watcher Magazines.

I am sure I will switch to my book when the serious shows (cake shows) come on.

Night all!

Hi Danica! So looks like your day today adds up to 27 points. Are you on maintenance? Is that your daily target? Just curious, thanks!

      Hi Charity,

Congrats on your weight loss – you look AMAZING!

Right now I am not on maintenance and 26 is my Daily Target. That being said, if you are looking for your balance in Maintenance, I have found that if I eat 27-30 points a day plus all of my WPA, my weight loss is minimal, I basically maintain. I typically focus on CORE/Simply Filling Foods and use the points to make sure I am keeping myself in check. It does vary by person, so I know you will do great finding your balance.

      Does that help?

I just picked up a bottle of sriracha this weekend to use in a recipe. As soon as I opened it up – I was thinking of you! I haven’t ever tried it before so I tasted a little while making the recipe. OMG – it’s spicy! I knew it would be hot, but not that hot! But it is SOOOO good. I usually do Frank’s Red Hot on my eggs, but I think I’m going to try the sriracha next time. I can’t wait to add it to lots of stuff. Yum!

Also looking forward to trying your banana ice cream this week. I’ve got a sliced banana in the freezer waiting for me.

    sundae for breakfast? Im in!!

its amazig how many greens I can eat when they cook and wilt down. I can eat about 2 bunches of swiss chard and not think twice (okay maybe not 2 whole bunches) but a whole lot because it wilts down so small!!
