It’s the little things…..

July 1, 2010 by DanicasDaily 10 Comments

Happy Friday Eve all!!  Thank you all so much for all the nice comments you left on my last post about my New Goals.  Seriously you made my day with how crazy my life has been lately….I NEEDED that, so thanks!

I really can’t wait for things to settle down and life to go back to some sort of normalness and not be so go, go, go.  I honestly can’t wait to get cooking again :D

My CEiMB friends, I am so cooking that pasta this week, but, maybe not til tomorrow or Saturday..

Breakfast was an old favorite ~ TJ’s Sourdough Walnut Wheat with Laughing Cow and 1 tsp of POM Blueberry Jam (3.5 pts)

Plus a big bowl of organic strawberries (1 pt).

Simple can sometimes be so delicious!

Oh and there may have been a Venti Iced Non Fat Decaf Latte with Caramel drizzle too (3 pts).

Mid morning snackage ~ Pumpkin Bolanni (my favorite flavor!) (2 pts)

Plus a cabot cheese (1 pt)

For lunch i had to run all over town to pick up everything for our July 4th work BBQ.  I am so excited to share the menu I created along with all the festivities with you all tomorrow.

I finally had the chance to sit down for lunch at 2 pm.  I grabbed an Amy’s Teriyaki Bowl.IMG_5751

5 points for the entire box….

and you will recognize EVERY ingredient.

I LOVE this Amy’s bowl because it has brown rice, decent veggies (although next time I’d steam/add more) and a delicious teriyaki sauce.  I actually don’t mind the Tofu in it either 🙂

After work The Husband and I grabbed a quick Subway sandwich before heading up to Sacramento for two appointments.

TURKEY+HAM+AVOCADO+ALL THE PRODUCE (7 pts)….some days Subway just really gets it right and makes AMAZING sandwiches 🙂

I really felt like I NEEDED more so I added some Baked Lays to the mix for 2 pts and called it good.

The first was not so exciting, but, the second was for my hair appointment!

I <3 my hair dresser – she knew I was rushing in traffic to get there and have had so much going on that when I arrived, I had this waiting for me 😀

LOVE!

Source ~ I sorta forgot to take a picture ~oops! (3 pts)

Sometimes it’s the little things that really make your day….like your encouragement & comments, and friends who bring you Starbucks!!!

Time for BED!!!!  Have an awesome Friday all and an even better long weekend if you are taking off somewhere fun!

Night all!

I love that Amy’s Bowl! I don’t really eat frozen meals too often but Amy’s has some fantastic ones!

Hey I don’t know if you heard or not but Subway just released that they use high fructose corn syrup on some of their products. I’m not saying you should stop eating there, I just wanted to make sure you know!! 🙂

Definitely make the CEiMB recipe when you get a chance – it was quite good. Be sure to follow the recipe in the book, not online though because I think the extra garlic, oil, and lemon juice will really make a difference. If it were me, I would probably increase the tomato to pasta ratio as well, but I’ll leave that up to you to decide 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

    HI Kat,

I saw that one day when I was checking out their nutritional information and was so mad. It made me sweet from the 9-grain to the honey oat though since the honey oat is made with honey. Why do they have to do that?!

Thanks for thinking of me and letting me know.

    Have a great weekend!

    Danica
