Hi all! I’m interrupting my regularly scheduled posting and Wordless Wednesday with Must Read Wednesday. This weekend I was really craving reading a good summer book. I resisted the urge to buy 4 books and narrowed it down to 2. On Saturday, I started The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena and on Sunday, I finished it.
Have you read it?
First, don’t sweat the baby – nothing bad happens but you get so curious on who took her during the dinner party and where she could be.
I love how it keeps you guessing and turning pages as you read through the twists. The ending is great and not really what you’ll anticipate. I’m totally buying her next book.
Have you read any great books this summer that you’d recommend?
Night all!

The Collectibles, – first of a trilogy by James Kaufman. Great summer read. They were all good. (Also The Concealers and The Conciliators)

I thought that one was good, but not great. Even better for a psychological thriller are “Behind Closed Doors” by B.A. Paris and “I Let You Go” by Claire Mackintosh.
These are books that just stuck with me!
I also just finished the profound “This is How It Always is” by Laurie Frankel. Wow!

I loved Magpie Murders! Really different, a book within a book.

All of the Liana Moriarty books are definite page-turners, so to speak. I read the Couple Next Door-reminded me a little of Gone Girl.
