Thanks for all your comments and feedback so far on Friends for Weight Loss, the new Weight Watcher Support Group Site. I never realized how fun it would be to have groups/forums for us all to chat on and share our successes, challenges and just life in general. I have a feeling after a bit, I am going to wonder how we ever did without them?! LOL.
Please keep your feedback coming. We are definitely still working 24/7 behind the scenes to fix any issues, because we want the site to be user friendly and something helps all of you, it’s users.
I don’t know what the deal is with me this week but I seem to be STARVING as soon as I wake up and never really “full” never really “stuffed after each meal. So I decided today to “Power Up” my breakfast to see if it helped keep me more satisfied. Yes, no, maybe…..
Maybe it’s the weather because all week long it has looked like this outside and maybe it’s because I have been insanely busy!
Breakfast was my favorite Eggwich with a little whipped butter. (7 points+)
Points+ BARGAIN ~ 1 Tbsp of whipped butter is only 2 points+ while regular butter is 3 points+.
2 FREE Cuties! I LOVE that I no longer have to decide if it’s 2 or 3 for my points
On my way in I got a Venti Iced Nonfat Decaf DIRTY Latte (it has only 1 pump mocha to save on Points+) ~ It tastes just like chocolate milk. (3 pts+)
My breakfast did pretty good at holding me over for 4 hours so I can’t complain. Mid morning snackage Pepperidge Farm Wheat Crisps and Cheese (6 points+)
Then, I decided I STILL was hungry a half hour later so I had a FREE banana.
Lunch was ,my very own “Homemade Frozen Dinner”. When I made this Mexican Tortilla Casserole awhile back, I put a few servings in the freezer for a “rainy” day. I served it up on top of a romaine salad with 1/8 AVOCADO. (10 points+ for the casserole and 1 points+ for the AVOCADO).
We received a HUGE basket of Cheryl & Co Mini Cookies at work. I pondered having one or not, but, after much debate decided it was totally worth 3 points+!
I am thinking it probably wasn’t the BEST snack to eat before going to Costco. But, I managed to get everything I needed and avoid all the samples that were everywhere!
Dinner was a combination of all the things I bought at Costco and couldn’t wait to dig into.
Black Pepper & Bleu Cheese Bread ~ nope, it doesn’t taste like stinky cheese
4 points+ for 1/8th of the loaf – that’s a nice size serving!
Cheese + Buffalo Wing HOT SAUCE = LOVE!!! (3 pts+ an ounce if you can handle that much!)
I cut up the loaf of bread into 16 slices….one was devoured while cutting and the other actually made it to my plate.
The PERFECT dinner when you don’t have time to cook and definitely lower than take out (7 points+)! Sweet, crunchy, salty & SPICY good!
* Organic Mixed Greens
* Organic Cucumber Slices
* Organic Cherry Tomatoes
* 1 oz Yancy’s Fancy Buffalo Wing Cheddar Cheese
* 2 oz Rotisserie Chicken Breast
* 1/8 Avocado
* Trader Joe’s Cranberry Walnut Gorgonzola Dressing
I totally busted into my Extra Weekly Points Allowance today, but, you know what, it was 100% worth it to me for 3 reasons. I was genuinely hungry, I thought about it before I ate and my food tasted phenomenal. No POINTS PLUS wasted in my book
Q:
1. What is your favorite thing/feature about the new Friends For Weight Loss Site?
Honestly for me aside from the cool look designed by Zesty, it is the groups. I LOVE reading all your stories and can’t wait to see everyone support each other each day!
2. What is one thing you’d like to have improved or changed?
I want to fix the avatars on the front page and have more time to give you all tons of recipes/ideas.
HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!!
It’s been CRAZY here! I haven’t even been able to stop by the new site, but I will! I did finally weigh in at a center and the overall good news is that I’m only 4 lbs up for the last time I weighed in there in 2006! (They totally missed the 20 lb gain that happened in the meantime). It’s a great meeting, and I’m happy to be back. My friend lost 6.5 lbs on her first week and a half of Points Plus after being on a plateau for weeks!
Hey there! Stopped by the new site and LOVE IT!!!! Can’t wait to meet new WW friends! So it’s been a really long week for me, I’m really tired and just having my first cup of coffee, but can’t figure out how to post on the forums. What am I doing wrong? Can you direct me? I’m probably totally missing it, in which case, just say hey, Reen, EYES OPEN, it’s right here! 🙂
Today is my first weigh-in on the new Points Plus. I’m at goal, but struggling to take off the last 10 to get me where I want to be. I don’t think I’ve lost anything this week. Not sure what’s gonig on. Seems like too much food for me though and most days, didn’t hit my daily target and my activity points this week far out-weigh the weekly allowance points that I used (I think). Last Saturday was a little difficult to track but I tried to track everything.
Well, whatever the scale says, it’s okay. I’m at goal, going to keep trying the Points Plus. I’ve heard a lot of good results so it must be working. I just have to figure out where my “sweet spot” is, I guess. And honestly, I FEEL GREAT on it. Think it’s all the fresh fruit. 🙂
OMG Danica, you new site is AWESOME. You must have had to put SO much work into it, and it’s well worth it. I’ve signed up, will be forwarding to some of my weight watcher buddies and we’re happy to participate. Thank you SO much!!!
